+ 4 Gyno surgery

ad

Hellow fellas, I am a new member here, although I have been visiting this site for a few months. Just like to share my experience with Gynecomastia surgery for those who maybe considering this route. I decided to get it done when I thought my gyno was at the point of no return. In 2007 I booked a date for the spring of 08 after a consultation and examination that cost me 250 dollars but it would come off the cost if I chose to go ahead with it, long wait cause I went to a very respected surgeon who was in demand and my date even got postponed to the summer of 08.

Finally the day arrived and I followed basic surgery procedures, like empty stomach and no water. Right before they put me to sleep the Doctor explained the following; he will make a small slit 3 inches away from the nipple towards the serratus then he will use a special tool, slide it through the slit and detach all the skin within a 3 inch radius of the nipple, then place clamps to stretch the skin and hold it open while he begins his work. He then will proceed and remove all gyno tissue from area. Once he feels he has removed all the tissue he then will proceed to remove the mammary glands.

He proceeded precisely as stated then by the end of the day I woke up. Wasn't in pain cause of the heavy painkillers but I could barely move or walk. I was patched up pretty good and given a vest to wear for the next 6 weeks. Was in bed for at least 48 hours before I could take the bandages off and shower.I asked him if the gyno could come back and he winked at me then stated he wasn't allowed to claim that it won't come back but I think it was pretty clear his true feelings was that it won't come back cause the mammary glands have been removed.

best 5250 dollars I have ever spent. Have done tons of juice since and never used anything to counteract the gyno and has never come back at all. Well that's my story any question feel free to ask. cheers

I had gyno surgery and it was nothing like the op's experience. They made a cut right along the nipple. Pulled out the gyno and stitched me up on the inside. Only missed a week in the gym and didnt wear any compression etc.

ryaroberts's picture

I had gyno surgery done about 5 years back. About 2 years ago I went back in and had them remove the gland because it was still bugging me (more mental than anything). Well worth the 5 grand. However I wish I would have shopped it more cause the Dr who did my gland removal did a fantastic job and would have been a lot cheaper if I had originally gone through them. The only thing that sucked was wearing that compression vest under your clothes for weeks.

TheFlash85's picture

moral of story, spend a few measly bux and control your gyno with ancillaries or spend over 5 grand and be in severe pain and hospitilised, pretty simple.

gensolomon's picture

The 2 options are not comparable at all. Some people do not have the luxury to prevent gyno regardless on any amount of ancillaries or anything, let alone reverse it. All depending on genetics and even you have good genetics and are not prone to gyno and can control it, you would only to a certain extent.

TheFlash85's picture

it was a general statement mate, steroid related gyno is preventable and infact reversable, we have old school long standing members myself included who have conducted experimental procedures on our selves and found one protocol with multiple drugs etc etc to revers lumps the size of marbles.

gensolomon's picture

I understand, however..
Everyone is different and for some it is not preventable and for some it is not reversible regardless of what you take.

TheFlash85's picture

unless its natural gyno without the lumps, its preventable and reversable........ i guaruntee you that.

JMacD's picture

I know this is an old post, but I just keep reading and reading things on here haha. This protocol for gyno... do you think it would have any effect on I guess "natural" gyno even a little bit? I wasn't even looking for thread like this, but it caught my eye and I am now wondering if I might be able to reduce or get rid of my gyno - I have it in the left nipple and I got it when I was going through puberty believe or not (at 14 or 15 years I believe). It reduced on it's own over time, but it never ever went away completely. I went to my doctor the very second i noticed it, and he just said "don't worry, it's not breast cancer". haha I remember it word for word, but he didn't do anything and said that it would eventually go away. I just kind of came to terms that the little nuisance will always be there.

Ozninjaguy's picture

There is a recent thread here about gyno - try to find it. There is a lot of medical evidence regarding the successful effects of Tamoxifen on puberty based gyno. I think I evn posted a link to a an article in that thread.

JMacD's picture

Interesting, thanks bro. Should have looked at newer posts I guess, haha got lost again as I say. I will check it out. Sorry to bother dawg.

Ozninjaguy's picture

Did a quick look and found an article. It talks about treating currrent pubertal gyno - but I still think it is worth a try. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/14719418

JMacD's picture

Thanks bro! You really didn't need to do that. I really appreciate it, thank you!

Ozninjaguy's picture
JMacD's picture

Well, it doesn't sound like it will hurt to try, so I guess i'll give tamoxifen a test run. I have lots of that laying around. One thing about pubertal gyno is that you are prepared for the worst every time lol. I used to be obsessed with it, but have given into it long long ago, so I wont be butt hurt if no results. Sounds like it needs to be a long run anyway. Thanks again!

Ozninjaguy's picture

From the articles that I have read it will take a few months (around 6) so don't get discouraged after a few weeks - stick with it.

JMacD's picture

Not a problem, consistency and routine keep me sane. Otherwise its just chaos lol.

Ozninjaguy's picture

No probs mate - we are all here to learn and share knowledge.

gensolomon's picture

For most it is, for some it is NOT, You can disagree but I guarantee you that you are wrong. I had Adex, letro, and tons of other things, everything you can think of and still got gyno when I cycled and know a lot of people who are in the same boat. Trust me some people are prone and nothing anything can do about.

The doctor told me that my gyno is not reversible no matter what during my consultation and the only way is surgery and I had not gyno prior to AAS usage. Tons of people with the same scenario.

We will have to respectfully disagree on this one

TheFlash85's picture

no worries mate, agree to disagree, no disrespect taken what so ever, its a good topic to discuss and brings up the fact everybody reacts differently, the protocol we came up with is very unorthodox and actually quite harsh on the system plus quite complicated, also takes quite alot of time and effort.

letro is misunderstood, under utilized and feared by many, it actually takes 60 days of usage before blood plasma levels reach a stable level, it can cause etro to completley crash but in our protocol we have other drugs to counteract this in a "natural" type of way" some people also complain of "creaky" or "dry" joints, this is also counteracted by other "natural ways, as stated it is a harsh protocol yet it is proven to work if followed to the dot, once hard lumps occur the priority becomes destroying them and all hormones/ aas/ steroids must be ceased, you cant have any steroids in your system if yo wish the gyno to dissapear, it can take 12 weeks to destroy the gyno (3)months, the guys that seem to fail either- (a) never give it long enough- (B) dont follow the protocol exactly- (c) still have some kind of steroid in their system whether they are still using test even if trt or still have the long esther in their system such as decaonate which can actually float around in your body for 4 months after cessation.
another crucial part of this protocol involves nolvadex, at one point in this protocol it needs to be added at a specific time at a specific dose in an overlap fashion, it needs to be ran for a fair duration, the overlap and timing of this drug is absolutley critical for the protocol to suceed, again multiple reasons people fail with it, one being if it was nandrolone induced gyno such as tren/ deca but also drugs like superdrol, in these cases caber would be introduced at a certain dose for a certain amount of time to eliminate any PGR activity, Pgr, prolactin and estrogen work hand in hand and in a way bounce or "feed" of each other, in men tamox actually acts as a form of estrogen in men in its early use, this can also lead to another tricky situation as when the estrogen receptors are stimulated this can aslo activate/ aggravate the PGR further, this is when dudes also give up because they may get a small flare up or tingling/ itchy sensation behind the nips and stop the protocol. maybe one day soon i will write up this protocol in the pct anti estrogen section after mod approval due to its harshness.
myself i had gyno for over a year, big lumps and lactating nipples all gone, 9 other members on here had varying degress of gyno, some really bad, some not so bad and we are all cured now.

thank you

gensolomon's picture

very knowledgeable (+1) but to go through this every time to me seems 100 times more hassle then to just get the surgery once and for all and be done with it. Do this over the course of 15 years and you will drop just as much money and without a guarantee and a whole heap of discomfort to boot. Certainly not my cup of tea

I had won an overall at a bodybuilding show and was scheduled to compete the same year, hence getting off the gear was not an option whatsoever.

My objective in this thread is to appeal to the surgery for those who plan on living the lifestyle for the long haul, your original post was clearly against the idea and was in favor of an alternative route which you indicated was a ''NO BRAINER''..... I am sure people reading can see both arguments and see which one is suitable for them.

kh1216's picture

Well I had mine during puberty and actually managed to make it slightly better with long term raloxifene usage and staying away from harsh aromatizing drugs. However I had lumps the size of golf balls so there was no way drugs were ever going to entirely fix it. But the genetics play a huge role. My natty test was 404 with estrogen three times the top of the normal range since I produce so much aromatase naturally. Meanwhile my friend runs high test and dbol and doesn't even use an AI and is fine

gensolomon's picture

Precisely^^^^ genetics is everything and yes there is a point of no return as well like you stated. Ancillaries are great and meds, they help almost everyone but some people are so prone to it that even 1 cycle can hurt them bad.

ashop's picture

If the whole gland was removed it should never come back.

gensolomon's picture

Correct

kh1216's picture

Hey I just had this done as well and I'm about to go back for my first workout since. Any advice on coming back to the gym or did you have no problems? And did you have the loss of chest sensation with it? The entire area around each of my nipples is numb and I'm wondering if it comes back

gensolomon's picture

I did lose sensation and still untill now I have less feeling by at least 50%. So I suspect some feeling will come back for you but not dramatic or even close to before.

As for the workout, treat it as you would a first workout after a long lay off cause you will be sore easier then normal as all the fibres are not fully healed despite you feeling ok to workout

kh1216's picture

Alright not too worried about the sensation loss it's just an odd feeling when you shower and you can't feel the water hit your chest anymore. And thanks for the advice man I'm excited to lift again and not have to wear that damn compression vest anymore

gensolomon's picture

ya that vest sucked for me. I was working out side in the sun and it would make me sweat buckets.

kh1216's picture

How long did the swelling last for you? After lifting I swelled up like a damn balloon all over where they took out tissue

gensolomon's picture

I was swollen and bruised for a couple of weeks and when I was ready to lift I took it very lightly. Did 4 sets per body part and not to failure. I didn't swell after that but was sore for 3 to 4 days after a light chest workout.

kh1216's picture

I'm three weeks post op but I guess I shouldn't have gone that heavy and intense then. Oh well just another couple days in the vest should fix it I'm sure

gensolomon's picture

Ya, just be patient with the heavy weights for a few weeks.

ttinnovated's picture

Congrats man, I bet it is such a confidence and ego booster waking up the days after knowing you no longer have gyno issues.

Out of curiosity, were there any issues present months after the surgery?

gensolomon's picture

Bro just having gyno for a year or so was embarrassing, You hear '' You look jacked bro, but whats up with the pointy nipples" Now of course it is something you never worry about again.

And no issues whatsoever after.

zeusmarada's picture

Incredible. Thank you for sharing this story with this community! I hope this helps other men in similar places in their lives to make better informed decisions going forward with their own health. Cheers brother!
