I'm a boxing fan and I've wanted to see this fight for a long time. I think it's lost a bit if it's luster since manny has been beat recently and doesn't seem to be the same fighter he was 4-5 years ago. That being said, As a fan, I'm still excited to see this fight and I hope it lives up to just a bit of its hype.
As far as predictions go, I'd have to go with Floyd. I don't like him personally (I've had some minor dealings with him), but that doesn't cloud my judgment on his skills.

Well I will say a few things on this matter. Floyd was to scared to fight Manny back 5 years ago when Manny was in his prime. Now it seems dormant that he decides to make this happen as time has passed. Manny is NOT the boxer he was 5 years ago and has been marginal in most of his past few fights. He was knocked out cold in one fight that left him seeing stars for several minutes and has not been the same since. Floyd has continued to put off the negotiations year after year for the obvious of reasons. Now he decides to sign the contract well after the fact that this fight although still has a lot of the publics wants, It is not as it was 5 years ago when the world was calling for this fight to happen. In closing I was Floyd will win this fight hands down as Manny is past his prime and it wont be much of a contest. Both fighters will make a ton of money either way so who really cares at this point. Just my 2 cents on this post.. Peace Out..
I don't know if age will mean much. 4 ,5 years ago it would havr been more boring than this one will be. Both guys are still in top physical shape. Only concern I have is manny being dropped by Marquez the way he was, he may not be able to sustain punishment. All the bullshit aside, this is still a fight I want to see. Fuck the dumb shit. Remember Emmanuel Clottey? He would fight really well and do a lot of damage. He even knocked Cotto down in the first round. But when he fought Pac Man he did not throw any punches. When he finally did throw a punch he damn near knocked Pac Man out. He could have won the fight in any round but he let Pac Man win. He is not a big name who people want to see. It's going to be The most boring fight you can imagine! A technical mismatch. Manny is not on Floyd's level and I have been saying this for years. He was always exciting but what kind of elite fighter still has major flaws in his game? Like being completely off-balance and not in a position to defend or punch after throwing a heavy left-hand? Floyd will systematically break him down and frustrate him to the point where these mistakes become very obvious until finally many walks into a big right-hand.
