Failed my drug test but not because of gear.....
So I was just hired at a new job and it's pretty good. I tested positive for marijuana. I smoked a week before she decided to tell me she wanted me to take a drug test so I went and detoxes for that week. Felt pretty confident because I had passed a test a few weeks back prior to taking this one.
It's my third day on the job and I have no idea if they will report it or not. I'm assuming they will because that's the point of a drug test. I'm wondering if anyone on eroids has ever known of people failig drug tests and still keeping theirs jobs. Just looking for some input. MODS. You can clear this if you need to I know it's not steroid related lol.
I'm bugging out right now and don't know wether to expect a call or the girl who interviewed me to come and tell me they're letting me go or if they'll even find out at all.

Figured I'd give a little update:
The girl who interviewed me who initially told me to call quest about my drug test results gave me my picture id with some more work documents to fil out. She didn't mention anything to me. Also had a lengthy conversation with my new boss about how ducked up she got on her cruise. She finalized my schedule and gave me my requested PTO for Christmas. I feel like I'm ok but I'm knocking on so much wood right now lol it's also 2:30pm here so the results have been in for a couple days if anything was going to be said to me I believe they would have told me to leave this morning.
All you have tl do to pass a drug test is take a couple multi vitamins and drink over a half gallon of water a few hours before the test. And piss 4-5 times. The vitamin will add a little yellow tint to it. Ive done this a lot when k didn't have fake piss. Works everytime. You dilute your piss down will pass for all drugs but good luck on the job. I only use gear now, but I think its bs that someone can get turned down for a job because of weed

Lemon juice
B vitamins
Creatine monohydrate
Electrolyes
Carragean
Niacin
Wash down with water in between sips at least one gallon per glass of elixir
Not my recipe but it'll give you a fighting chance to dilute your urine sample without ut being flagged for color, creatine imbalance or gravity. The other compounds are for detoxing and maintaing proper homeostasis when water loading.
AnonIf you failed a drug test they are gonna know. If they confront you about it without immediately firing you then maybe you should take that opportunity to tell the truth and be honest with them. Im not judging you at all and Im not trying to sound harsh, just trying to tell it to you straight. I would be much more willing to give someone a second chance if they were up front with me about their situation. Lying now is just gonna make it worse, the truth always comes out in the end.
My Union will force you into paid rehab for 6 months the first time. Second time 6 months unpaid and the third your out the door.
Streiod they don't care about. Only the hard stuff. Like someone below mention they can not fire you if your going under treatment. It's a federal law.
Or. Just tell them your buddies were smoking pot and you was in the room.tell them Give you a month and retest
Lots of companies have drug treament programs for first time offenders. Check your employee handbook.
What happened in Colorado where it was legal didn't stay in Colorado appaeantky. That would be my story. You were there 45 days ago. You thought you were fine. A friend pressured you into partaking of a legal activity. You didn't like it and don't use. I know that's a stretch, but it's possible.
It sounded like they tested you during orientation? If so, that makes it a bit tough. That's almost a probationary learning period. They can pretty much use their discretion during that time

If your really in a jam, go to see a doctor or out patient drug treatment, tell your work that you used to smoke but are now under going treatment...if you are undergoing treatment for drugs it makes it hard to fire you, if you continue to use its easy to fire you. Past drug use undergoing treatment is a protected class, but current use is a fireable offense.
That is a good idea to say he's already under going treatment!
Do you know for a fact you failed or you think the detox worked?
Go to walgreens, cvs etc and get a at home drug test. It's just like they use in probation and you will no in seconds for a piece of mind. Since you haven't passed probation period you can't say hey I need help.

Yea it's a wierd situation lol I don't really know what to make of it. I think she already knew I failed which would be a good thing because she didn't say anything to me about it if she did know.

You may be on to something. Tell her (if she asks) that you are dumbfounded by the positive but the only thing that you can think of is that you were at a get together a couple weeks ago and after you were there a couple hours you started feeling kind of weird and almost sick to your stomach. Maybe it is possible someone had some marijuana laced cookies in the mix or something. You really don't know for sure. Say, "look at me , I am a health nut" no weed for me.

If you go down to your local smoke shop you can purchase something called quick fix.
Quick fix is fake urine, just follow the instructions on the box and you should be good to go.
They can detect that stuff these days
Ive used sybthetic piss for years while I smoked. It has the right creatine, ph everything. Ive had a couole good jobs where they send it off to a lab in another state for testing and my metabolites are always where they need to be. I used dr greens. But when a test gets harder the companies jist reformulated to get around it. Cat and mouse game. But its not jist water with color. It has the right creatine, ph, specific gravity of urine,metabolites, etc there are good fake urines out there. Even some thats like a belt with a tube incase someone stands behind you or makes you leabe the door open. Unzip pull tube out, pop the clip off and good to go.
I don't drug test my employee's. But the rule is and always has been if they are doing something that is effecting work (usually alcohol) I will shit can them for it. It was funny a couple years back another company similar to mine was telling me they got a discount off of their comp rates for drug testing. So just for shits and grins I called my agent and asked her about it. She laughed and said, " I knew better than to ask you",lol. But my rate was still lower than the other dude anyway so no big deal.
I'm confused. They hired you with no pre-employment drug screen. Let you work for three days and then gave you a random drug screen. If that's the case than they have to offer to let you go through a treatment program that entails a much more aggressive testing process Or was this a pre-employment screen. If it was your toast. Sorry but if you can't technically pass the pre-employment screen there is no job offer. Where I work we have a very aggressive pre-employment drug screening process that must be passed prior to even an interview. But when we hire people we usually hire 30-40 at a crack. Bring all applicants in and boom time for a drug test. Last time half the room left as soon as I said drug screen.
That's correct she hired me and I filled out a ton of paperwork even had two interviews. Lol this drug test actually happened on orientation after I officially got the job. And yes today so my third day. I'm kind of suspicious that she may have already known I failed the test when she told me to call quest jusging by the tone of her voice. Who knows I'm only speculating.
So we're you actually on the clock during the orientation and during the orientation did they go over their drug testing policy. I can't see that they would go through two days of orientation before they test you.
Yea I was on the clock for orientation. Actually she didn't go over any drug policy during the orientation lol. Yea its hard to believe but she went through the whole orientation, and I was paid for three days of work including today when I found out my test results. I actually took the piss test during the orientation.
Iron_MonkWhen you pee next time to get your sample only collect the urine at the very end of your stream at this is the point with the lowest levels of metabolites. Beginning of stream first thing in the morning would provide the most concentrated sample of metabolites.

Thise lab corp bastards are hard to get around. They check the uric acid levels creatinine and gravity of the same to make sure it unadulterated or diluted before processing it through a GC-MS machine. It checks for THC-A and THC-OO metabolites.

Every time I have ever taken a test for weed, I drank so much water that it was almost nothing but water, and passed with no problem. However, I think that may not be the case if you've been smoking a lot.
If they got your first piss of the morning, then it's going to be much higher.
I did the same exact thing 6-7 times when i was on probation back when i was 16. Passed every time. If you do it right by the time you take the drug test you're pissing straight water.
The testing has gotten more thorough over the last few years. If you piss ain't right they will know it. The best thing to do is have a friend that you know is clean piss into a ballon. Carry it below your sack and it will stay within proper temperature range.
Lol I've done that for years, but with condoms and those hand warmers to keep temp up.
Yep this works, a buddy of mine has to take a piss test tomorrow and I'm going to give him my sample since I'm clean and he just puts it in a ballon and keeps it close to his sack to keep the temp in normal range lol, I'm going to give him shit for a long time about having my piss next to his balls.
Iron_MonkToo much water will results in your sample being flagged for not being thr proper color, not producing a head/foam and diluting the creatinine levels and screwing with the viscosity and gravity of the sample. If flagged you have the option to retake the test under the supervision of a lab corp tester.
But they get to see your penis. Which in and of its self it a huuuuuge breach of rights to privacy as is testing in the first place.
This isnt prison where once convicted you have no rights. Your a civilian. And this is against the law but nationally accepted regardless....

Back when i was on parole/probation i drank a ton of water and my urine was diluted so they made me stay for another 2 hours and waited after multiple urinalysises finally when my piss darkened up they let me take the test again than let me leave as it tested negative. It comes down to the officer testing sometimes they tell you to come back the next day for a retest, ive seen them lock guys up for a period of time if they think your playing games and purposely dranking a shit ton of water . Because when you drink soo much water and dilute your urine to the point it is totally clear little to no foam there is absolutely no way too test it because there are no proteins or breakdown in your urine definitely not enough to test to see drugs . There are many studies to back that up just as there are many guys locked up because of it, they now can also detect the flush and detox drinks as the test will show it not all of them but the major ones. Now this being a job test they might not be that skilled and or might have to send it out. But i know when i had the charges i had they didnt play games. An i was off and on parole probation for 8 years or soo .
i did it on court ordered drug tests bro. I would think they would have stricter or atleast the same standards as for pre employment drug test. Could be wrong but you'd think the state would be pretty damn strict.

Lets see It was when i was 17 so i guess it must have been spring of 2006. Damn that was a long time ago now. Im getting old. But still there was all the same rumors back then of not having enough creatine or whatever in your piss from drinking to much water and all that shit but i never had any problems.
I work in finance. A failed drug test is termination. Although I have never looked into it, I would consult an Labor Attorney ASAP to see if there is any steps you can take now before the hammer potentially drops.
My company will Lay you off for 90 days if you piss hot then if you were worth a shit as an employee they'll bring you back if you pass the drug test.
It might well depend on how bad they really need you.
Sorry about this, but it all depends on their policy. If my employees fail, their gone, due to liability issues. I don't hold much hope, but I suppose you have a chance. The problem is that you're new and they could cut their losses at an early stage. All you can do is wait. Good luck and keep us updated.
If it comes back as positive you have to admit that you have a "drug problem" and legally they have to allow you to go thru treatment. If you fail a second test you are screwed
Even for pre employment? I know thats the case if you've been working for the company for a while but idk about before you get the job.
