AnonWonder what the hodgetwins would say about Crossfit
I did crossfit a few times a week for about six months, and I never felt like I was in better cardiovascular shape. The basic premise behind crossfit is high intensity interval training, which has proven to be one of the fastest ways burn fat, and increase your vo2max. The variety of things the workouts encompass is great, but for all it does right there are just as many things that make me cringe. The high weight high rep schemes are ridiculous, and so is the highly competitive nature of the "x amount of reps and such for best time" workouts. That's what leads to injury. The uneven ratio of coaches to clients for many big crossfit locations is unsafe and unfair for the cost per month. I've tried a few different places and it came down to programming. The ones that run their classes more like strength and conditioning were much better. To each their own, as I lost interest and became much more focused on strength sports, powerlifting/strongman
Crossfit is an excuse to act like a jackass in the gym...
AnonZero, zero, zero, zero, zero, zero
Idk personally but just seen the crossfit games on espn and I seen some pretty big dudes that did well. Not BB TYPE but u could tell the lifted very nicely built
AnonTo prepare for the cross fit games, the athletes don't actually do cross fit. That's not how they built up their athleticism or size. It's just another competition for them. Look up Rich Froning's background…. it ain't crossfit lol
All I know was it have mad respect for them
AnonOh no doubt the athletes doing the games are on another level, I just think mainstream crossfit is a joke. Crossfit HQ flags all youtube videos making fun of it too makes me hate the corporation even more. All I see on my Facebook page sometimes is a bunch of people who look like they've never seen the inside of a gym posting about how great cross fit is and everyone else is a "hater" - not surpisigingly they usually push that Herbalife bullshit too right along with it. Kinda cult like. Check out the injury rates for people who take the classes, it's insane.
AnonCrosshit is great. I prefer dippin with my feet on the floor at all times. I get 1 million dips because of crosshit. I am so amazing. Crosshit is so awesome because it takes all the useless shit out of an exercise, like effectiveness and safety, and replaces it cool shit…. like violence and danger.

Revolutionizing fitness by teaching the correct way to do an incorrect pull-up…. and every other exercise that exists. Yay herniated discs and no gains!
lol, cross fit, where you pay 100 dollars to do calisthenics in a non air conditioned warehouse.

Don't know why but the image won't show, had to post the link instead.
Hahahaj I've actually seen that video that pic is from. There all maxing there powercleans and holy shit, I'm suprised no one through out there back or tore up there shoulders.
I don't think it's the best way to get big or lean but it's probably possible. And I also don't think olympic lifts are meant to be done in sets of 50 then straight into another olympic lift for another set of 50. Form would slip an it's an easy way to get injured. I think crossfail is the fast track to a torn rotator cuff.
Some of the most aesthetic dudes I know do crossfit. They are not big guys but they manage to stay lean so I feel like they get lots of puss, which makes me jealous
I love crossfit because they're are less knuckle heads in the weight room and more things available without having to wait around all day on someone sitting on the bench diddling with their iPod.
I have a buddy who does it and he looks great, but he used to be a body builder back in the day as well. There are some folks at my gym who do it and they look pretty good for the most part as well. I just think it depends on the person. I enjoy watching some of the competitions on TV. Some of those workouts would put me under.
