Does Nicotine decrease Testosterone?

ad

I smoke E - Cigs, because it suppresses my appetite; I am trying to get cut up and lose weight and for relaxing. I smoke my e-cig after every meal. My cardio and weight training hasn't decrease or anything. Are real cigs the blame for cardio and test decrease because of the tar and smoke? No tar or smoke in e-cigs; I know it's not completely healthy. To me Nicotine is like caffeine; which is a stimulant.

Chemicals in E-Cigs:Nicotine, Propylene, Vegetable Glycerin

Naphthalene – an ingredient in moth balls
Methanol – a main component in rocket fuel
Nicotine
Tar – material for paving roads
Toluene - used to manufacture paint

Effect of cigarette smoking on levels of bio-available testosterone in healthy men.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/11352783

...data suggest that cigarette smoking has no significant effect on the biologically active fraction of testosterone, but may influence the levels of total and free testosterone through changes in the levels of SHBG.

E-cigs are the equivalent of carrying around a nicotine drip. I tried them and found myself smoking a lot more then when I smoked regular cigs. My cousin was a 2 pack a day guy, now he has that e-cig in his mouth all day long so I would imagine he is now smoking 5-6 packs worth. It is 50 times more addictive then real cigs because you are constantly smoking it. Also you are smoking propylene glycol; otherwise known as antifreeze, so you tell me if its safe? Any smoke you put in your lungs whether its vapor or not is still bad for your lungs.

I still smoke a couple a day and to be honest I think its hindering my goals. Im a menthol smoker and have not found a single e-cig that gives the same hit as a regular menthol. I am hoping ot land an opportunity and if it pans through I will be quitting all together. I got my fingers crossed. Cancer runs on my mothers side of the family so I shouldn't even smoke 1.

I just started hacking the lung skin just recently; packs here cost 10.00 but where I am moving they cost 3.00. I need to quit entirely before the move or I am fucked. I do not shoot foreign stuff; all Pharma Blum 3

No shit, the state I am moving to is a "healthy" state and they push it all the time so not many people smoke hence the low prices. Generics are 2.50 normals are 3.00 and marlboros or newports are 4.00

Actually the opposite. It increases test slightly but not enough for any sort of benefit. But it also increases cortisol and stresses the heart. Caffeine and nicotine are almost exactly alike. So you can imagine anything caffeine does, nicotine does too.

What about your gh levels? Does it effect that?

birdbear27's picture

Not that I've ever read. You may be overthinking things.

It is said that it stunts people height, thats why i asked. don't know if it's a myth or not.

In kids sure. To what extent I don't know its pure speculation from there no one can ever be certain of that. But there's no benefit to it. There's only negatives involved with it. I know its hard to quit but that's your best option. I've quit smoking and chewing, hell I did both at the same time starting at 15. Quit at 20. It was a bitch to quit but if you can power through it for 2 weeks straight you're done. That's the mark where I've seen people start to feel able to never do it again and not feel like shit anymore.
