+ 18 Before you start giving cycle advice.....
OK folks, been noticing some of the newer guys getting involved in the cycle logs / anabolic steroids / steroid cycles section, GREAT! Firstly I'd like to say thank you for assisting, it's always nice to get fresh opinions on how we do things rather than just parrot-fashion bro science. This isn't an exact science and views vary greatly depending upon experience, age, and even geography, (i.e. the Proviron / Mast cycles Vike and I run, tends to be a Brit thing from 10-12 years ago). I like new views, I like new ideas and I like to push the boundaries of what is "the norm", but I also like to do it safely. I'm not so keen on watching new members getting grief because they do things differently and therefore ending up scared to help. Different is ok, as long as it's SAFE. Maybe this will help existing members and new members in different ways as a result.
We're a tight knit community here and we do have some ways and means of doing things, so before you get yourself in the trenches of cycle advice, please review the following. It will help with your learning process about how we help and what we deem acceptable and not so acceptable.
First off - Hollywood's post on TABOO TOPICS - READ IT!
http://www.eroids.com/forum/general/general-talk/eroids-taboo-topics
Self explanatory from the title, lays out what we don't consider appropriate for the forum. Decide not to read it or ignore it and you may find yourself as popular as herpes.
Before you go diving into offering advice I suggest you sit back and read for a couple of weeks, get a feel for how we do things. eroids is different to the other forums you'll find, we put safety high up our priority list. We expect you to do the same.
Some of our "unwritten rules"
1) We don't offer cycle advice to those under 25.
2) No stats, no advice. We want as much background as possible regarding previous cycles, diet etc. If the OP can't be bothered to supply the information, tough shit, go elsewhere.
3) 150lb lad been training for 6 months who wants to "get swole" needs diet and training advice, not a cycle.
4) If you haven't used it, don't advise others how to. There will be someone who can. They're better placed
from personal experience to help.
5) Try to guide rather than dictate. People often switch off if they feel they're being told something in a way they don't like, irrespective of how good the information actually.
6) Work as a team, support the guys offering good advice and try and avoid pointless bickering about minor details. A united front can sometimes sway even the most stubborn 20 year old that cycling shouldn't be on their radar.
7) Show respect for other members.
I realise there's a lot to take in for the new guys and girls and I personally enjoy seeing new members get involved and add to the wealth of knowledge this site holds in it's community. Let's embrace it, not bash it and help them understand "the eroids way".

Podium finish. Now if he adds some clen in their too we have a winner ;)
AnonLol im seriously gonna pm ed about starting this.
Lmao - I already have
At first I was joking but the more I think about it, the more a "this is how not to do it" post seems like a beneficial tool especially for the new folks.
AnonAwesome, lets get this party started lol. I do actually think it could be beneficial and provide a little comic relief as well
Now there's an idea. Where's Ed?
You're too sensible, whatever you're running you wouldn't even make top ten ;)
So what you're saying is telling someone to run 1.5g tren e for a first cycle is wrong?
Mmmhmmm....
Bumping this for our newer members.
I've noticed a couple of posts from members with no personal experience giving advice. We're all about safety here, if you haven't run it, don't advise on it. If you've done one test cycle, don't tell someone how to run test / deca / drol etc.
Follow our protocol and we offer a consistent and responsible approach to cycle advice.
Good post brother, this is the first time I have read it and it's spot on!
Don't know how I missed this one mate.
Would be great to see points 1) right through to 7) being used more by members, in fact just #7 alone would make a massive difference.
+1
Nice post Cat.. Been thinking the same thing lately.
Great post bro.
It is interesting that in different countries different chemicals and combos seem to be popular. It's something before coming here I never thought about or even cared about. I never thought that the way I do things is peculiar to the United States but it most certainly is. And, I never realized until eroids how narrow minded and set in my ways I had become. At least I can admit it.
Yes, bro, it has become obvious that the senior members are delighted to have the newer members deal with the bull crap on the cycle log pages. Some of the stuff in there is BS taken to a whole new level. Truly amazing shit there. But it's only for a season, bro. Us newer members will eventually burn out as well LOL. We're only human . . . .
LOL... ive gotten to where I read the tittle and see how many posts are on the thread and that determines whether I open it or not.
takes a little longer to get burned out when I dont look at all of them!
You are well plugged in lately......... grateful to have your input onboard bro after the workload i personally know you had here.
Respect
Likewise my friend, you filled many questions in my mind with answers that I couldnt find.....I have some balance right now where I can be on but I suspect in the near future for that to change. It is certainly a different view out here, takes a little getting used too....
cybor hand shake!
good shit bro! this isnt a nannas knitting club, were talking about injecting and digesting substances that can harm people, stats, cycle history, diet, training routine even medical history will help us help you, put these points up with your posts, you will get more help this way, having to go through history and profile will make ppl not reply or flame you...... great post brother !
Solid advise, thought the unwritten rules were worth a bump.
Yep, seems like we're having to remind a fair few how we do things here.
very nice SDM, i completely agree with "if you haven't used it, don't advise it." i like to give/receive feedback on personal experience, not off of what someone read elsewhere on the internet
Got to know when to step out. We've had a couple of cycles posted up recently that I wouldn't advise on, a primo cycle and a 1test cycle. I've run both, but not successfully, so there's better people to help. If you want to know how to cock up a primo run, I'll tell you, but otherwise my knowledge is pointless. Between us we have a bank of knowledge across the full spectrum, play to our strengths!
Biologic1Good post, SDM. One of the biggest issues I run into is younger guys, usually with out much training history, who are hell bent on cycling. Your endocrine system does not fully mature until 25, and running gear before then may damage your development.
In fact, I am going to start a separate thread on this issue,
Just as a little add in here, a cycle log to take a look at:
http://www.eroids.com/cycle_logs/preparing-for-the-first-one.
For some reason the link won't work, it's the one by gymaholic.
We all get frustrated with people not listening when they don't hear what they want. Here's why we do what we do. Young lad, about to cycle, everyone guides him away from it and he takes it like a man, (as he's got an IQ that isn't in single figures like some of those we see). I know it's often not the case, but sometimes it does get through.
Well done to those involved. Proud of you all
This info is golden! Great post SDM
BOOM! Good post bro....+1
I think 4 and 5 have been getting out of hand lately among the others. I try to stay away from giving advice when it is beyond my novice understanding and the whole come in swinging that some are doing is counterproductive (unless they ask for it). Great post as always SDM.
Yep, seems that way to me too Ice. We all get frustrated, it's a thankless task giving cycle advice at times but occasionally good to take a step back and see if another approach would be more effective.
Great post. Very helpful to many.

I am taking this into the MOD forum for a stickie vote............ really good post +3
Thanks V.
Drop you a line later on re setting up comp prep. 264 @ 9%, I'm over the moon with that.
pics please. no homo
Unfortunately with the job I do pics of me will never appear on here mate, I could lose my career. I work for a pharmaceutical firm, most in my line of work are not even allowed a Facebook page due to contractual restraints!
BOOOOOM!!!..... Fkn hell bro sounds like we are in the trophys........... let me know what you have in mind and i have a few tricks up my sleeve yet lol
I'm not putting myself up there to be an "also ran", I'm having it no matter what mate.
ONLY way to think.
RustyhookerGlad you're on here helping to keep things mellow and on track!
The funny thing; over the pond you guys have it a little easier when it comes to AAS. personal use is legal if I remember correctly. And yet you do not see all the fkn teeny boppers under 25 as much as we do in the states. I know you do have the choice few but it is RAMPANT here. We also have the "know it alls," the "want it all nows," and last but not least the "little effort as possible but want to be toned and fit." How do you guys keep that in check over there? What makes the states breed such ignorance? I love my country, I just have a hard time loving the idiots that live here lol.
I think because it's legal for personal use it's less rampant. Over here it's kinda an unspoken rule you don't talk to much about it, never know whose bacon. That being said the guys that do talk about it are loud mouth dumb asses who never shut up. You know the kind, no real diet or training regime, does other drugs, goes binge drinking and just wants to pick up chicks. So these kids hear this big guy talk about gear and what he's running so they wanna run what he's running.
Because it's illegal, the guys that are focused on training and dieting and proper cycling, don't wanna talk, they don't want to risk getting caught, they just want to train. These kids are looking for gym father figures but we don't want any legal issues so they go to who ever will give them advice.
That's my take
I live in a more rural area not far from the cities and other than pro-hormones like M-drol the young guys around the gym I belong to are natty, I see much more stupidity out of the 30 year olds. But I am sure it all depends on accessibility..
I go to a private gym that caters to more "affluent" folks, it costs more because it has a lot of amenities that the "boxed" gyms don't have. I used to go to a big gym and could not deal with listening to the kids talk about aas and how much they are using, and STILL looking like a string bean. There are some there that need help BADLY and I make sure to help them; show them the right form, how to perform a certain exercise, e.t.c. They are so grateful and next time I see them they are doing the workout the way I showed them, so gratifying to see. It's the skinny kids that no one pays attention to that I help the most. Fuck, I even write up a meal plan for them to follow to bulk up lol. The bigger gym I showed someone how to do a proper bench press and was told I was wrong LOL. They then proceed to go over to their friends and do it wrong. fast forward 3 months later, still the same size and still cant bench press more then 225 pounds. How's that "right way" working out for you? hehe.
I agree. I use to go to a big box gym and you tried helping anyone out you would get looked at weird and they would ignore you. I use to work at a semi serious gym at the front desk and I would offer advice to kids, some 5yrs younger than me and they followed it and we're so great flu and they looked good. Hell the one was so desperate to learn more, he wouldn't leave me alone, now he's my lifting partner
Its just the same bro it just seems to me that our youngsters are not as "vocal" as yours and just stay in the shadows and get on with it instead of creating wars on the forums... another thing is that our BB gyms are still classed as "temples" with long-time crews that still deal with shit the old way... i.e taken out back and kicked the shit out of if gym etiquette is not maintained at all times..... the new large multi-national fitness places are what attracts the youngsters and the pakistani dealer gangs..... i see these mis-shapen Btards all the time with their big arms, shrunken chests and chicken legs lmfaooooo attempting to sell bunk gear in changing rooms and car parks.
They won't do that in my gym, most of the members are law enforcement and have to protect themselves. BUT the beauty is we can do the old fashioned drag out back and beat with a hose so noone even fucks around.
I don't know mate, I think we have the same issue with 'em too, maybe they just keep a lower profile? I see kids under the age of 20 all the time running gear. I'd say a big percentage of the youngsters I see in my gym are on gear. Plenty of idiots over here too!
Good post brother
Thanks Nate. How u been bruv?
noob941GREAT POST BROTHER,
I believe it is these exact rules and principles, that make this site the best and also insures it's longevity.....stay strong brother
