FDA Will Review Safety of Testosterone Therapy

The FDA is criminal in nature. Without the FDA we would have more life saving drugs on the market at a more affordable cost. This is the same government organization that denied Provenge for 8 years which in that time could have saved over 1000 lives with prostate cancer. If released sooner it would have been an affordable therapy that any patient could utilize, because of delays it now cost over $90k for a full therapy with this medication.

Honestly the FDA is a joke. Until they ban cigarettes I don't care what they have to say.

God dait Fking Government trying to keep us weak so they can have their way. This is propaganda to remove the dominance of the man that come along with the use of testosterone.

They put so many chemical in our food water etc, that boost estrogen in a males body it's not even funny. Where I come from all American foods are banned and a majority of product that get to my country of birth they slap a sticker. " contiene quimicas que produced cancer y o effecto que suben la hormonas que producen cancer" basically the American product will produce cancer and/or increase hormones that will cause.

The FDA has tried to control the male population options on supplements that increase testosterone. Yet the studies only point out the few that probably had heart issues to begin with. No family history on the people that had heart issues. Hummmmmmmm

This is something I've feared
Let's hope they don't look just at TRT "on the surface".
Nearly all "issues" are brought about by doctors that aren't adequately trained and don't have a thorough knowledge of proper protocol when it comes to dosing, E control, properly assessing blood work, etc.

Last year there were over 2 million prescriptions for TRT. It is now a multibillion-dollar industry. It is not going anywhere in my opinion for the next 5 to 10 years at the very least.

Well there goes my Rx. If there is even a .01% difference in heart issues they will pull it so they won't be sued.

Did these studies monitor test, e2, Lipids, hemoglobin, hematocrit and other levels together or just test levels? All which could contribute.

"We have been monitoring this risk and decided to reassess this safety issue based on the recent publication of two separate studies that each suggested an increased risk of cardiovascular events among groups of men prescribed testosterone therapy," the agency added.

What they've really been looking at are the lawsuits that have popped up. That is the only thing that gets the FDA to "review" their meds. Safety is secondary to money. I know, shocking!

Yes I have seen lawyers advertising already on the tv about this issue. I have been on trt for about two months and feel great for the first time in a long time. You are right it is all about the lawsuits.

What a joke!
