Hygetropin and the bottle stopper
ad
I just got a box of Hyg's and the gray rubber stopper does not let all the fluid drain into the center well for extraction with a syringe. Has anyone else seen this?

Chemdog. Thank you.
Mine look like these.
The wells around the outside do not drain to the center.
About .3 ml remain in the bottles after extracting via the center of the stopper.

Take a look at this, it might help:

It reminded me of yours:

I am having my IGF tested this week and will post the results and pics of the box, bottles and lab result.
The stopper does not have a slit, that is the issue and I put 1ml in and get .6ml out so it is a meaningful amount being lost.
Mine will create small air bubbles in the stopper area. Ive mostly been able to work around it though.
U can mix with more bac water so there is less waste
If you're talking about the gray stopper with the slit in the middle; then yes. However, when I removed the stopper the amount of fluid was only about an IU (or less) on the syringe... I stopped stressing over it.
Come to think of it, I used to try and suck every last fraction-of-a-drop of oil out of a vial of test as well... again, I got over that too.
AnonI haven't seem this and if it's that way on all of the vials and it's obviously defective, you could bring it before the src you purchased it from. If we're talking about that last IU, then there are always other extraction methods to he the last bit out. In short I have never heard of this being a problem
