+ 1 Aromasin Men VS Women Half-life

ad

Ive visited a couple of forums and Ive noticed alot of people are confusing Female Half-life with Male Half-life
Different sex metabolism means that drugs will react differently to each sex
So that being said i found pubmed articles to clarify the Half-Life debate

In this experiment aromasin was given to young men half life was recorded at 8.9 hours
At 25mg Aromasin inhibited E2 by 38%
And Increase Testosterone by 60%
At 50mg inhibited E2 by 32%and increase Testosterone by 56% (funny huh less is more in this case)

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/14671195/

Now this is the women Trail on Aromasin learned a kool trick on test Syntax to highlight the quotation of the article about its Pharmacologic properties

Exemestane is highly bioavailable, with 42% oral availability. The plasma half-life of exemestane is 27 h, and the time to steady state concentration is 7 days or less.8 Exemestane is metabolized by the CYP3A4 system

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2697518/?report=classic

So in conclusion for men aromasin half-life is 8.9h for us
For the sexy Ladies 27h
I research this info cause many Eroiders advice me to use Aromasin for me next PCT because i used Arimidex and i definitely will when the time comes
Thanx guys

its the effects the compound has on aromatase that cause the change in those numbers

Well said and also people often mis quote the rate by which All AI's reduce estrogen, i am forever seeing posts that quote the reduction in females and not in males, it is totally different, much less in fact.
As for taking any AI during PCT i have never heard anything so stupid, during PCT we arent producing much if any testosterone and therefore have very little estrogen, inhibiting what little we do have and driving estrogen down to practically zero is crazy, doesn't anyone ever read the effects of very low estrogen in males?

The concept of using an AI during PCT seems to be well accepted. i plan to use it, but dose it so I don't crash my estro. I'll let you know how it works.

Well this is only true in certain cases and in certain case studies, it is definately not the case when using clomid and nolva following a steroid cycle because neither of these will increase testosterone post cycle.

There is a thought among the Body building community that they influence the negative feedback mechanism at the hypothalamus but this is in fact just lay speculation based some fundamental endocrinological principals, well endocrinology is a little bit more complicated than that.
You may be able to fool the hypothalamus into producing GnRH briefly but it's highly unlikely (in fact it is known) that the pituitary isn't in any fit state to respond to the signalling and produce LH and FSH, this will only happen when the body has all traces of exogenous AAS out of it's system and returns to it's natural state of homeostasis.

Yea, thanks for posting this.
I wonder if we should be looking less at the half life of the drug and focusing more on the time it takes to replace the aromatase enzyme. I know I saw a report on how long it took to get aromatase levels back to normal after a dose of aromasin. Will post if I find it.
I'll give you a +0, my thumbs up don't count yet.

THATS THE PROBLEM WITH AROMASIN EVERYONE REPLACES AE AT DIFFERENT SPEEDS

in other words, it is not stable and varies in different people. Not what I can a good AI by any means too much fluctuations, short half life, more side effects, and too difficult to dose.

CBBurrr's picture

Wouldn't this replacement rate create the same challenges when using Adex?

j223's picture

nope because adex is not a suicidal inhibitor. Adex does not permanently bind to the AE

I'll get some Adex for my next cycle and see how it compares. For me, I feel like my joints get dried out from aromasin before my estro gets real low. I wonder if the dry joints is a side of the drug itself, or just a result of low estrogen. I went skiing mid cycle and my knees were aching like a mofo. Dry meniscus, and weighing 200 pounds was a new adventure in skiing.

Trust me you can not go wrong with adex. Aromasin works for many guys. It pretty much comes down to personal preference.
