What to eat on the day of a competition?

ad

Hello,

I'm looking for peoples experience in diets the night before and during the day of a competition.

I will be doing an athletic physiques division and am trying to balance my food in take during the final days. The competition is Sun 13 Oct 14.

Sat 12 Oct
- Stop all water by 5pm (how many litres should I drink this day? 2-4L?)
- Diet like normal, however reduce carbs to minimal meals. 2000 cals + ? (e.g. chicken, fish, white rice, broccoli, no sodium)
- When should my last carbs be? 7pm? Before bed?

Sun 13 Oct (Pre Judging 9am, I would be on until after 10/11am. Night Show is 5pm onwards, Ill be on stage probably 10pm)
- What should I have for breakfast? I was thinking Oats/Skim Milk/Honey or Rice / Eggs. If so how big should it be? Id probably wake up at 6am to have this meal, then another meal at 9am prior to arrviing at the comp.
- What do I snack on while at home prior to attending the night show?
- I will be making rice cakes with jam, snacking on these back stage ever 1hour-30 mins. Is that ideal?
- I will also have mini salt & vinegar chip packets to dry out more and carb up every 45-1hour mins.
- I will sip water / taste it when needed. Ideally none. Maybe some gatorade to sip prior to the night show?

I have a rough plan coming together, I just need some input to fine tune it please. Even advice prior to the final 2 days would be appreciated.

Congrats buddy. one thin i like to toss in as well as drinking a little bit of red wine prior to hitting stage. I feel that it helps with the vascularity

Hit Viking up. He competes and judging from his pics, he knows how to get peeled.
Best of luck!
