+ 2 Can Women Smell Testosterone? Scientific Evidence

ad

This is something that is pretty much taken for granted by us guys, but apparently it's a metabolite of Testosterone, Androstadienone that is at play here.

The researchers exposed 21 subjects to 30 milligrams of androstadienone and to yeast, which is not in sweat but has a similar olfactory sensation. The participants took 20 sniffs of each in two separate trials. The researchers measured physiological vital signs like body temperature, skin conductance, ear pulse, blood pressure, respiratory function and cardiac rate throughout the experiment. They also measured mood and sexual arousal by checking the levels of cortisol, a hormone that has been associated with arousal and mood, in saliva samples.
The results: smelling the androstadienone increased positive mood, total physiological arousal and sexual arousal, which grew with longer exposure. The researchers also found a significant rise in cortisol levels from the sweat component, as compared with the yeast, beginning within 15 minutes of exposure and continuing for up to an hour.
Wyart notes it was particularly interesting that there was apparently no correlation between the intensity of the scent and magnitude of the effect. "It's something very intriguing about these molecules that you don't necessarily consciously smell the odor to actually [get] a response," she says. The study confirms that the sweat component affects hormone levels in women

Come to find out, Androstadienone is commonly sold in male fragrances to increase sexual attraction. Ha ha.

In this study volunteers reacted more quickly in perceiving angry faces as a threat. This has been my experience that while women are more likely to be attracted, men are more likely to feel threatened.

Yes we can smell higher test levels And you can also smell tren as well... I can say test has an appealing scent to it... tren on the other hand smells like Elmer's glue... Both of these scents I am referring to when they are secreted through sweat.

not sure about women but heres a true story and ive heard teh same from others - i have a female cat that would jump up on my lap and couldnt get enough of my attention - then when i started roids again - the cat looks at me like im a german sheperd or something - lol but she will barely let me even pet her and the change was simultanious with me taking test - go figure ?

My cat and dog (both females) won't leave me alone on cycle. They both have to sleep on me, they both are constantly licking me (even tho I hate that) so I am not sure it scares the animals.
