+ 1 INSANITY

ad

There was a time in my life where I could barely get to the gym and had to result to my dvd. I have tried insanity and when I tell you I lost weight, I lost 30lbs. Mind you it was water weight and I did loose muscle tone as well, but the result were great for me. I got to the point where my neck seemed longer.

For a body builder this is way too much cardio, but for a person that hasn't yet dropped enough weight to prepare for his cycle it would be prefect. Say for a fairly large guy looking to cut up before he decides to add mass to the equation, this would be ideal.

The first month starts out with about 30 to 40 minutes of cardio with minimal breaks in between. Then you build endurance and strength and it gets easier, that is until you start your second month. The second month is around an hour of cardio, but if you can muster up enough courage to complete the 60 days, you will be looking and feeling amazing!

How many of you have tried it? Any results? Anyone thinking of trying it?

Cardio is great, but I keep running into people who have knee problems after doing Insanity and P90X. Way too much jumping, etc. I would say that 75% of all the people I've talk to have some knee pain after completing these programs. There is a trade-off.

It was a little tough on my knees a bit, besides slight knee pain I felt amazing. This is def not for people with old injuries or long term weight loss.

I ws 238 at about 17% when I tried this....and bloody hell did it kick my ass!

I kid you not - I struggled with the first demo day! You know the very first DVD? I could barely get through it....I was just too heavy

But I stuck with it.....and completed 6 weeks......and it increased by workrate and VO2 significantly. What it also demonstrated was how out of conditioned I was!

I have since adopted a HIIT routine that addresses my previous weaknesses and have used a number of movements in Insanity

For the average Joe - Insanity is amazing and does what it says on the Tin - but its HARD WORK.

For BB's looking to add size - they will be hard pressed in following this AND being on-cycle with the intention of gaining Mass
