Which has more protein? chicken? Beef? or Gyro meat?

Makwa's picture

1 oz. Chicken breast (cooked): 9 g protein, 0 carb, 1 g fat

1 oz beef sirloin: 7g protein, 0 carb, 3g fat

1 oz beef chuck roast: 7g protein, 0 carb, 1 g fat

lamb sirloin: 8g prot, 0 carb, 2g fat

cod fillet: 6g prot, 0 carb, 0 fat

Beef will vary widely on the fat content and therefore calories based upon the grade of beef you get.

Bro I googled and couldn't find anything on gyro but saying its high in fat and how kinda unhealthy it is but that's all...so I said fuck it I'll just post the question lol

You have to be careful with the meat you get in a gyro. Most of the fast food places that sell them use mass-produced gyros loaves and not shaved meat from a roast or shank. Those loaves contain finely ground meat and other fillers, so they will be made with low grade meat and lots of fat and salt. Not healthy. Kind of like comparing a McDonalds burger to ground sirloin. The meat for a gyro doesn't have to be lamb either. That appears to be an American thing. In most contries it is pork or beef.
