This is way, way way overkill on so many levels. 1200-1400 calories whilst training like a professional athlete? Christ. If you are doing HIIT properly you wont be able to go more than 20 minutes a session, the LIC is fine but the diet is not, you are starving yourself. You are miles under your BMR which will produce fat/muscle loss as it is...throwing in training to that level is going to be counter productive and very catabolic. Form a proper carb cycling diet with a moderate amount of healthy fats. Your body requires energy you cant just load it with protein and nothing else and expect to see results, you need an energy resource.
Sorry if this seems harsh man but its a lot harder to build muscle than lose fat so you want to hang onto the muscle you do have and smash fat the right way. You are obviously dedicated and driven to reach your goals but you need constructive criticism to get there.
What would you recommend for carb cycling? And i do take alot of BCAA if that helps with the catabolism, also the amount of energy i get from my fat burner (Cellucor HD) does help me sustain enough energy for most of my workouts. But i do see where carbs play a big role, just my body holds on to carbs like a b********tch. Either that coverts it into fat too quickly. I'v also found that i gain muscle mass quite quickly, but i also loose it quite quickly too. Really appreciate the info.
Im with you on carbs, they bloat me out too so I try to keep under 100g a day. That said im taking Omega 3 liquid, walnuts and monkey nuts in for natural fat just to keep your hormones up and to give your body a source of running fuel, starving yourself and then going all out in the gym on HIIT isn't great. I know people do extreme diets for short term but I think I would eat a little more, here is a good carb cycling calculator
http://scoobysworkshop.com/advanced-fat-loss-carb-cycling/
you could probably find a diet eating around 1800-2000 calories on a low carb day and then probably do your training schedule, just something to consider. I have never tried Cellucor HD but I use Alphamine by PES and that works really well for me.
With that amount of training I don't see why you would want to dip that low in caloric intake. I try to stay 75% of my TDEE, 70% at min. I think you're dipping well into the 60% range, probably less with all the work your putting in. Watch out for any rebound effect once your diet goes back to normal. Pretty sure you will hit whatever weight your aiming for though.
Thanks for the advice man.
Chaz32621Wait so let me get this straight your 5'8 and want to cut your 165 pound frame? Wtf?? My friends 5'8 at 180 and hes skinny.... I just cant imagine although his bodyfat is at 12 percent curious what your body fat sits at?? Personally I think you should not drop below 1500 cals. Have you thought about running clen or DNP both can help keep you eatting at above maintenance and still dropping fat, keeping muscle assuming your protein is high and weight lifting atleast 4 to 5 days a week heavy. They can also cut down on your cardio sessions. Cardio plays a big role in muscle lose as well.
Its mostly just the ab and hip region that im trying to get rid of the fat. It's where i keep a lot and tends to be the hardest to come off. Currently on accutane and iv seen bad comments about using both accutane and clen at the same time, even though i don't see how they'd interfere. But i'll keep it up to 1500 and maybe boost my protein to about 1.5g per pound or more then. Thanks for the input man.
Chaz32621Personally, ive gotten alot of great results using DNP, its crappy in alot of ways but the outcome is just wonderful. Do your research and run it for a week or two weeks low dose. You'll get that last bit of fat off and you could easily eat at 2,000 cals a day and do less cardio.
Yo friend request sent. I had a question about DNP to ask you.
Chaz32621Ask away bro
