Those things piss me off. For one, the number of test subjects are minuscule. My natural total test is 620 -I'm 53 years old and my doctor says I'm normal even though I show symptoms of low test.
If I work the, "declining test at 1% per year after 30" backwards, I come to a number in the upper 700 range. I would think that would be "normal" for me.
Thanks for sharing, bro! I agree with your thread over there. I don't understand how a 25 year old guy with a level of 360 and someone who is 85 with the same level be considered a normal level for the younger guy? I wonder why the 35-44 age group had a higher total test count than the younger group. i want optimal levels as well. there are some great endocrinologists out there that despite being in the normal range that they will still let you go on TRT. because they understand that the levels of a 30 year old should not be in the same range of someone who is much older.
Exactly my point. See to many guys on here in their 20's with levels that are considered normal yet are the same as a 60-80yr old. Medical profession needs to get this figured out. They have made some strides compared to 5 yrs ago but they need to do more. Although there are endo's who get it they are far and few. They are the minority.
I agree, you can't judge every man by the same national range - we are all different yet science knows this but doctors are still pussy-footing around and giving the 'you're levels are normal' speech, when in many cases, it is far from the truth. It really pisses me and many ithers here, off.
