How can we help the younger generation?

ad

Nowadays the younger generation of kids, 16 to mid 20's is looking to put anabolics and other peptides and hormones into their bodies. Now you hear stories sometimes of a teen taking anabolics and going into severe depression or even dying. At these ages the kids body has nearly reached full development. So these powerful hormones can really cause some issues at these ages. So why do they still keep doing it and don't listen to anybodies advice. I guess it comes down to them not feeling good about themselves or they are not good enough to other people around them. I believe a lot of people have self image issues. Everyone see's whats on t.v. and all around us in the world. To be bigger is better in there mind. For example, ( if im a bigger guy I can get this girl or I will be respected more. No one will mess with me. Well you have to be confident with yourself and happy or steroids will make you a dick most likely. So to the younger kids. you have plenty of time to research and learn about these chemicals. Plenty of years to learn about training and dieting, but if you jump in to early your time can be cut short.

Definately the mind has a lot to do with how younger guys act and react to aas. The maturity level isn't there yet from my beliefs. In higher teens to lower twenties you feel invincible as if you know everything and everyone else is wrong. No one doesn't want to listen.

at these ages the body hasn't reached full development

Not to mention the mind. I think the immaturity factor plays a role. I'm not calling all the young guys immature but when I was this age, there was no talking to me. I knew everything. That is most likely what plays a role in their depression and suicide with AAS.

Isn't that the truth. When I was 21 I also thought knew everything and was indestructible in my own mind. Part of maturing is understanding and accepting your own shortfalls and faults.

What about young people dreaming about becoming PRO? Ofcourse I'am not talking about the 16-18 year olds. But people in the 20's wanting to get up on the big stage? I started when i was 22 and have done 1 cycle so far (planning my next one). And iam going for my countries national next year.

I think it's wrong if you're young and just want to "juice up" to boost your self esteem. But if you're young (not too young, atleast 20-21) and you really are dedicated to become a pro. But only if your really shooting for the mr.olympia stage.
This is just my point of view. But young people doing it to get the girl or get respect. They are not ready for this lifestyle. (as bigjrock mentioned in his post)

A little background on myself I am 24 as of right now and did My first cycle right at the beginning of turning 23 ( honestly wish I had waited until I was around 26 and before doing my first cycle done research research research). If I can get into the head of any teen that may be reading this please please wait some years and do research research research. To me just researching gear is extremely interesting and should be done extensively when putting any kind of foreign substance into your body. For any teen that is reading this in my opinion work out naturally for several years into your mid twenties to when you reach your genetic potential while researching gear (and pct) the entire time and getting to know the ins and outs of everything. Then after reaching your genetic potential if you still are wanting to try AAS doing it with all the knowledge you have acquired over the years of all your research. I know when your young you want to be the biggest baddest mofo out there and you don't always think about the affects of what you do that could affect you in the future. TRUST ME I KNOW FROM PERSONAL TRAIL AND ERRORS. Most of them being errors when I was a teen myself.

Rant over

As much as you guys Hate giving advice to these kids, as I partially do too, they are doing these cycles because other knuckle head kids are doing it n getting advice from them. I've heard of kids doing their first cycle of tren for 4 weeks or some dumb shit. Its hard to make the decision to help them.
personally when I help a young buck I tell them the consequences whatever it be and if I did it, tell them how I suffered from my own poor decision n how its effecting ny future n they seem to respect it

bigjrock's picture

That's how I see this. Its not a game its a lifestyle. And a lot of people are not ready for it.

For some, there's a "want it all and want it now" mentality. I looked into running gear when I was 22, there was no internet of any substance to read then, just the "gym guys" to listen to. I took advice from an IFBB pro who talked about fertility and TRT. At 22, I didn't want kids but I didn't want to lose the possibility of having them! I eventually waited until I was 26 and I'm pleased I did.

It's got to be really, really tempting when you're young, so I empathise. But I'll still do everything I can to make sure they are aware of the facts and risks involved even if it means giving up a chunk of my time.

I agree with u about knowing all the facts. And there is alot of ppl i know dont know shit about pct and they r in there 30s, i guess what im trying to say is that not all teens have an attittude like that but MOST do. Ive convinced guys older then me to wait on AAS Cause i knew they werent motivated enough or were barely going tp start working out. Good post though

If you saw some of the stupid shit we ran in the 90's, you'd get liver problems just reading about it! There was an excuse back then as there was a lack of reasources available, but not so much now with the web.

Not everyone is the same in terms of maturity, you're absolutely right. I'm 38 going on 12 according to my wife (just with a lot of grey hair!).

eatchicken's picture

Haha i am lucky to have eroids bro and all the people that help me with my journey but ur right some ppl just should not b on aas

I saw this the other day so that's where I came up with that.

eatchicken's picture

Thanks bro, im going to save that article, so i can show it to some guys that interested in aas but are mot motivated enough to take the whole lifestyle

eatchicken's picture

Can u put the link to a teen dying of AAS? Look I did my first cycle at 21. if it werent for eroids and the advice i got i would have used tren my first cycle. I started working out at age 16 and really started to watch my diet at age 18. My father helped me a lot with my diet and training. So when most of my generation was doing coke weed and alcohol, i was taking protein shakes and bcaas. At age 21 I hadnt reached my natural potential but when i saw my competition start to get bigger cause they were doing tren n deca, i couldnt hold on. I was going to start with tren but thanks to a lot of guys here that advise me to just test i playyed it smart, if no one would have given me advise i would have done tren n deca as a first cycle.

It is messed up. I myself remember in my teens and twenties I didn't listen to shit my parents said or anyone. And it got me in a lot of trouble in years. If they just listened to the advice of their elders their lives would run so much smoother. This isn't a game messing with these compounds.
