Alright I see all kinds of Topics on all kind of different things. So here's one ? What Kind of dog or dogs do you have?? The reason I ask is when I was younger I had a great friend that was a big boy 250 lbs 10% bf he was only 5'6" with no cardio his dog fit his personally ! He had a English Mastiff. They say dogs are mans best friends??

AnonA couple of years ago, I was on the interstate and there was this dog in a fucking horse trailer. His head was split open like he had been hit by a car, so I assume they were taking it to the vet. It was a really robust looking dog like a pit but HUUUUUGE! I Googled around to find out what kind of dog it was but never had any luck and have never seen another dog like it since.
What breed could it have been?
Could have been any of the breeds listed below in the mastiff family. Presa Canario in the you tube link, Cane Corso or a Borboel. They are all mastiffs. The antique (modern dog clubs have bred this breed down to match their standards) Cane is the larger of the three typically but there are larger mastiffs out there. All of them are protective dogs that will not back down from a fight. Especially when protecting their pack.

They do. They're prone to hipdysplasia, respiratory issues (depending on how bad their face is). But thankfully my GF is finishing up her doctors degree in vet. medicine.

You guys are gonna laugh. I have a cocker spaniel. She's unbelievable. I honestly don't think she thinks she's a dog. I can throw a ball as far as I can into a lake and she will get and bring it back everytime. I have to stop her because I'm afraid she will die for that damn ball. She's a bird catcher too. She's about six and I've spent so much time with her and talked to her so much she actually knows almost everything I'm saying to her.
130 lb female St Bernard...... Best dog I ever had and still have. She's 9 and still getting around pretty damn good! Her name is Abbey like the song Abbey road. Really it's abbegail Waggintail because she's so happy..... Lol

I have a 5 year old black and tan German Shepherd. Adopted him 3 years ago, previous owners left him tied to a post. Grew up with shepherds my whole life, they're awesome dogs.

The black with white and silver trim are my favorite colors on German Shepards. I had one and he was a complete beast. My grandmother couldn't take care of him anymore and just let him run around out in the country. I think that is what made him a beast. I saw this dog whip his own brothers ass. His brother was the standard black and tan.

They actually do have some English Mastiff in their bloodline.Along with a breed of dog that originated from the canary islands , he is the biggest, lovable, friendly , dog ive ever met.But if a stranger or a perceived threat approaches have to command to relax.Interestingly enough when this breed was first made one of their first dietary regimens was actually humans.The spanish conquistadors would carry packs of them on their ships, and when they arrived at their new destination they just unleashed the dogs to clear out the villagers. Good Shit, probably one of the best dogs for companionship, protection/guarding, or anything else that they are trained to do with a good experienced owner.This Breed is not intended for an irresponsible, inexperienced , submissive owner.

I had a beautiful Colby Pitbull for 14 years. When he died I didn't want another dog. My kids got a little older and wanted a puppy. I wanted another pit but my wife wasn't having that. So we got an Eskimo dog. Looks like a white mini husky.
