Digging deep.

ad

I woke up in the morning had my breakfast and sat on the couch. Felt like I didnt sleep enough but had been in bed for 9.5 hours. Went with wife to get some grocery shopping and hit a home improvement store up. Wife was complaining I had no energy or motivation. I just felt tired. Got back home and wondered. Why go to the gym today how will I ever put in a good workout.

When I touched the Iron and began my warm up set it hits me. Like a light switch. My mind doesnt think tired or energy. It thinks. I won't let this weight beat me. I think the difference between the ones who get results and the ones who don't is the desire. Our desire to be bigger, better, stronger. But for me its the desire to compete with myself. I can come up with a thousand excuses why not to do this. But its only one reason that keeps me doing it. I wont let myself quit. The beast takes over and from somewhere deep I found that same fire and energy I always get in the gym. I push and pull and shrug.

In the end I win. I leave with a satisfaction and pump that keeps me coming back. The rest of the day I may be a little tired but I stay motivated.

Everyone has there reason for working out. I have mine. But its all the same thing that keeps us going, its the same thing that makes people champions. DEDICATION and PASSION.
