PSA post cycle. Should I be worried or is normal?

ad

Hi my fellows dinosaur,

I'm 42 and I ended a cycle of 500 mg TEST-E by July 15, and the PCT by agoust 15.

Last week had my bloodwork And all results came back normal.

Kidney and liver function normal, chol normal, Test 550, red cells and hematocrit normal...

But my PSA was 1,88 when my pre-cycle value was 1,29. Its a big jump of around 40%.
Had my PSA checked three times before and always was around 1,30.
Do you think this jump is something to concern? Or it's normal and values will come back to precycle values?

Can you tell me what your experience was? Any advice would be very helpful.

Oh, and by de way, I rode 40 km bike two days before my blood were sucked.

Thank you guys.

Chemari.

My doctor prescribed 5mg of propecia a day for me after my hair just suddenly started to fall out and having a family history of prostate cancer. After nine months there was no improvement so I asked for a thyroid test and sure enough my thyroid had quit working. I stopped taking propecia but not fast enough, one night my girlfriend was deepthroating me and asked me if my cock had shrank. Talk about ruining the mood. Lately I had noticed that I was able to put it all the way in her vagina without her screaming bloody murder. The next day I was all over the Internet and found many sites that had the same complaint. I could have easily just sent you a list of propecia side effect sites but that is not the point of having a forum. The good news is the average shrinkage is 1.5 inches. The bad news is that some guys can't afford to loose an inch. The ugly truth is that pharmaceutical companies give a lot of money to our politicians. I also ride so I know that a long ride can cause a high psa and has been linked to prostate cancer. I have a saddle that is designed to keep my prostate cool. Get another test when you haven't been on a bike for a week or more. My dad has been diagnosed with prostate cancer and was told he will die in fifteen to twenty years if they didn't operate immediately. He's over Ninety so he just laughed at his money hungry doctor. Prostate cancer is no joke so keep checking and know your options before letting a Doctor decide how to proceed. Good Luck and Gods speed.

I was taking saw palmetto throughout the cycle, that's what concerns me. I mean, apparently saw palmetto didn't help.

Bamboo2112, I heard about the sides of propecia, but... Penis shrinkage? That's new to me. Could you elaborate please?.

Saw pallometto should help some with DHT binding. I take it thoughout my cycles, I believe its a must exspecially 40 yrs and up. Excellerate test and you excellerate DHT, better to prevent than to treat my man.

Just wanted to add that whatever you do, do not use propecia. The side effects include gynecomastia,ED and permanent penis shrinkage. It may shrink your prostate and slow male pattern baldness but at what cost. This is why it is used during sex reassignment therapy.

I would not be very concerned about your results unless your prostate is causing you trouble. I used to get tested every two years but quit after the surgeon general announced that PSA testing is not an accurate test for prostate cancer. This came about after it was disclosed that 60% of men who had their prostate removed because of a high psa did not have cancer.

you're right. the normal interval goes from 0-4. But it's age related and for those between 40-50 y.o. the upper limit eis more likeky 2,5.

And some to concern is the PSA speed. It it goes up 0,75 in an year round, doctors shoud check for prostate cancer by biopsy.

While I was ON, I was taking permixon (spanish pharma) wich is basically a concentrate Saw Palmetto.

Doctor said nothing. Just "all the bloodwork if fine". But he doesn't know about my other lower PSA values. I realized when I got back home, and he's now on vacation.

I'm not a dr., but those numbers don't sound high. My dad and brother went over 4. What did the dr say or you doing this on your own.
