Upset Stomach/ Runs

ad

Hi All,

I drank for the first time in a while at the weekend and went a bit overboard ( not drinking again until xmas). I ate a lot of BBQ meat also. The next day I was hungover but not too bad...however monday and tuesday my stomach has been completely ruined. I've had the craps both days and had a queasy feeling in my stomach also for most of it. Its still there a bit today but ive only eaten two slices of whole wheat bread in about 14 hours so its not as bad.

I am not getting my protein in, apparently its hard to digest and this may make me get the runs again. I have protein shakes I can have with water, would this irritate or worsen my condition? I want to get back to training and I want to hit my macros. Does anyone have any tips how to make this pass so I can get back to my normal macros and be able to train 100% again.

Thanks a lot

People keep telling me not to play football( soccer ) tonight but I enjoy it and really want to, it won't make things worse will it?

I havent been to the bathroom today but I do feel queasy with stomach ache atm.

As long as you're not too dehydrated and don't think you'll shit yourself, go ahead and play SOCCER Smile

I'm in the same boat man. I drink too much, every week. I understand what it does and as well, do not need a lecture. You slipped once in 6 months, good for you. My days off from the gym are off days only because I'm hungover. This past saturday was the worst I've done in a long time. Bachelor party, dr mcguilicuddy, scotch, tequila, who knows how many beers. Couldn't hold water down till 10 sunday night. Finally feeling normal today. I don't know what my point is lol....
bananas, eggs, and lots of water. couple days of the runs after a long night out is normal for me.

Did the same thing this last Friday. Drank a little too much then for the next couple days was feeling like crap. Everything I ate ran right through me. I forced myself to eat. Like poofinger said bro you just have to ride it out. Drink plenty of water. I ended up taking a couple Amodium AD to deal with the runs. Feeling better now but like I said forced myself to eat for those couple days. Hang in there. Are you "on cycle"?

Braxbrah's picture

Not on a cycle currently.

Just had a milk thistle capsule, egg sandwich and a litre of water. I've never had the shits for three days after a night out drinking before..must be old age at 27 but im never drinking that much again, only 3 or 4 drinks at xmas now.

Use an OTC to help with the runs. Try to force your food down. How has your diet been prior to ur night out? Water is important especially when you have the runs so you don't get dehydrated. You will be good bud just ride it out.

ride it out mate.. drink plenty of fluids. not alot you can do..

look at my name bro, had my fair share of horrid encounters haha

Lmao. Everyone thought it was the boss at my work so I ran with it. Just so happen he would be exiting as I was goin so I would walk out just giving him this look like damn bro did you have blow that up while I'm in there.

This is why alcohol is bad it screws up everything and takes days to recover.
Bodybuilding or getting drunk pick one because they dont mix. You just took two steps back and its going to take awhile to recover.

I didn't ask for lectures or for someone to state the obvious and tell me what I already know. Helpful posts only please. I know the effects alcohol have which is why i've completely removed it from my diet other than one occasion in the last 6 months.
