secret salad protein?
ad
so this will sound stupid ,however I have to bring it up. The average salad is 20 calaries per gram of protein, so we can say 100 calories/5 gram of protein. That seems pretty good to me. Is there a major difference between like meat protein compared to lettuce protein. im thinkig of eating like ten servings. also this doesnt include dressing. would like to get some good info on this

IMO, the amount of protein from 5 cups of salad (which is how much you would have to eat for 100cal/5g pro) is not worth it. Lettuce breaks down very quickly in the stomach so that protein may not even metabolize into your system. Im not saying don't eat 5 cups of salad, I'm just saying if you are trying to up your protein intake up, throw a grilled chicken breast or fish filet on top o that peice. The protein in meat takes much longer to break down in your system and much more of it will be absorbed by your body.
CAPok,It is on the nutrition label on the packaged salad though,
Lettuce does not have protein.
I have never heard of a salad with protein... Unless you are talking about a chicken salad
IMHO, your protein intake only counts if it comes from something that had a face and a soul. I believe Layne Norton's organization did a comparison of whey, soy, egg and wheat proteins, might look into that if you want some science.
