College in Australia?

ad

I've been in the military for, nearly, the past 5 years. I get out in October, and plan to go back to school. Sadly, ive been out of school for 6 years, and absolutely bombed the SAT prep. So my chances to get into USC and some prestigous schools is out the window.

Anyways, I plan to study Kinesiology. I've been looking into schools near home (so I can bank $ from the GI Bill). But, I am a full citizen of Australia, and have a good amount of family friends there.

So, i've been thinking about going to the University of Queensland to study Kinesiology (or whatever my heart decides in the end). This would be a big move for me, but I was in Australia (Brisbane) in July, and absolutely loved it. I love Australia.

So, what do yal think about going to college in Australia? Honestly, I don't really fear the big move. I've already done it once (joining the Marines), but I dont want to make a mistake for my future.

But I see it as an amazing opportunity...

How old are you? I ask because once you're over either 24 or 25 most colleges in the U.S. dont even make you take a SAT or ACT. I didnt enroll in college until age 29, i was a high school dropout with just a GED but I go to a 4yr state university now not a JC or something. I double major in exercise science/physiology (another name for kinesiology) and anthropology. The enrollment requirements change after 24 or 25. Though I didnt need an SAT score I DID have to take like a placement test of sorts but it was nothing serious. Im guess different schools could have different rules but my school is a major university so Im sure they arent the only ones who take age into account. No need to go to Australia unless you want to, we've got broads over here too lol

I don't think you can use your GI Bill for a masters. At least thats what I've been told

From what I've heard the women are hot and ready over there. The whole hard to get gear thing would prolly concern me though. Thanks for your service to our country and the war on terrorism, that deserves much valor and best of luck to you either way you decide.

Yeah mate as Dansta said. Brissy is a very nice place mate. Don't know much about the UNI as I am far from a schollar but that being said it's sure easy enough to find out these days. It's getting tougher as the days go by to get gear though. So if that's in your future then you should consider it as well. But we are definately lucky in other ways mate. Good luck with your decision making bro.
