New York steak vs. ground beef
ad
Usually for dinner (post workout meal) I'll buy a new york steak (up to one pound) and then have veges and carbs with it. But while I was shopping I noticed that per pound it would be much cheaper to buy ground beef (even the leaner cuts) and make them into patties. Any reason why this would be less nutritious than eating a steak?

if it is real ground beef I would think its ok but if it comes in a tube stay away.
After you barely brown your beef, put it in a collander and rinse w/ really hot water about 1min. This washes nearly all grease out of meat. Then return your meat to pan(wiped out w/ a papertowel)add 1tablespoon evoo finish browning add spices/veggies... I usually use 2lbs at a time, portion in 1/4 in 4 containers. 1 to eat 3 to reheat.
Just buy the 93% lean angus and you should be good to go.
X2
huh?
I agree that eating 93% fat free burger is the was to go when you're on a budget.
Drain off the fat after it is cooked and the actual fat will be well under 7%.
You want to have some fat in your diet...
your g2g with ground beef and waaaay cheaper lol just try picking the lowest in fat
Can you say pink slime? Ground beef can contain up to 15% pink slime without being listed as an ingredient.
