HGH > IGF Relation to Blood Tests

ad

For my vets out there:

I know Insulin Growth Factor is created from Growth Hormone. My TRT clinic tested my IGF a day before I started taking my first ever round of HGH. My result was 103, this was low and could explain a lot of hardships I've had with building up my physique among other things. After 4 weeks of taking 2ui every night Mon-Friday with Sat & Sun off I retested. My results show my IGF at 148 now.

Based on that knowledge, can we conclude that the HGH I'm taking is working as expected or do I need to be asking for a different kind of test?

I'm doing all subQ injections - does anyone suspect this could be the root cause of the low #s?

I heard recently the serum testing procedure currently was 10iu IM 3.5 hrs pre bloods.

For the next 4 weeks I'll try IM injections and see if there are any noticeable changes. Thanks bro

I think they meant use the IM injection for blood testing purposes, but not sure. I have heard people using HGH into target muscles they are working that day sorta like IGF-1 shots. I have got so much to learn about this before June.

I'm half asleep when I need to pin these, this has been my main reason for SubQ. Feels like less risk half awake.

Yea right. I pin in the morning due to convenience. I've been told due to my bodies normal cycle mid afternoon would be better. But I don't wanna have to carry it around with me tyring to keep it cold, so I pin at home.

There are mny other factors that can affect your IGF-1 levels including strenuos execise, protein intake. Some information I have read stated that IGF-1 levels do not rise in direct correlation to HGH input, and others stated that an increase of 1iu should raise your IGF-1 level approx 100 pts. There is also information stating you require multple timed tests through out the day under different conditions to get a better understanding of your bodies ability to produce HGH. So you are taking Pharma Grade HGH at 2iu/day and your levels only rose 45 pts? When I posted my bloods on Kigs at 5iu for I think 2 weeks I was at approx 270 IGF-1 and people were saying that was too low. I thought it was great considering I'm 50! Good Luck Beast keep us posted!

Thanks Pat! To be clear I am not taking Pharma grade, although my doctor agrees that I need it - it is very expensive (almost $800). I am taking Red Tops. Your info is helpful!

There are a few tests they can do, here in australia they make you jump thru every hoop before they tell you " NO!!! " haha.

There is a test to see if you pituitary is working.. I think its 100mcg of Catapres 1 hour before they draw blood.
And the igf-1 / igf-2 test that you had. The test you did is prefered.

103 is low, however... you doc is taking it slow ramping the dose up, because its in the prescribing information for somatropin. 2iu is barely replacing your natural output.

If your over 35, ide expect that over several months the doc will move up 1iu every few weeks till you hit 4-6iu.

Going up in "daily" dose too quick causes some uncomfortable sides, numb hands/feet ect.

When you hit your max dose the doc will send you for another blood test,
IGF, T3, androgens, lipids, full liver panel ect... Expect it to come back better than its been in a long time and enjoy feeling great 24/7 brother.
Its about time the medical community caught up the rest of the world.
Low GH/test isnt a pleasant condition to have.
