Best QB in the NFL

ad

Rodgers
or
Brady

and why. ESPN has been discussing and was just curious what you all thought

(No Manning because he's injured)

Heres my take, if I had to draft a QB for ONE year that would give me the best chance to win that year and that's it, I would choose Brady hands down. If I was going for the long haul I would obviously choose Rodgers because of age. What you all think?

propro's picture

it will be RG3 soon enough

Brady, very consistent.... over time rodgers has a shot to be as good as brady.
Brady.

Best quarterback in the NFL? My list would go Rodgers, Brady, Both Mannings. Don't get me wrong. I'm a Jets fan and I abso-fuckin-lutely HATE Tom Brady, but I gotta give credit where credit is due. As for quarterback with the most future potential I'd say RG3 and Alex Smith.

peyton manning

xNervE's picture

Some of you guys obviously dont wantch football, just espn haha Tom Brady is a god, but mr rodgers has quite a skill set. PS Eli Manning is no elite quarterback of the NFL. THat title belongs to a select 5 men, maybe 6.

bigkev45's picture

oh i see a disgruntled pats fan..sorry eli beat ya twice,, guess his brother peyton is a bum too,, hey can i ask you ..is drew brees any good???? brady is good but not a god my friend,, cam newton had 46 touchdowns last year and nobody has named him thor yet

bigkev45's picture

youre kidding right... not 1 2 superbowl mvp's not bad for a non elite qb

bigkev45's picture

hey didnt eli win the superbowl?????? hmmmm think he is pretty good???

portuguesepride's picture

Eli has his moments. He's won 2 Super Bowls, yes. 2 Super Bowl MVPs, yes. But he is not consistent enough to be considered there. Brady has never even had a losing season, never thrown more than 15 INTs in one year. Eli is up and down every year.

bigkev45's picture

eli is pretty good for a scrub huh guys..

STP0008's picture

Roy Rodgers...too much horse power for tommy boi

Eminemsroyaltys's picture

Brady has a worse offensive line and has always been a winner

portuguesepride's picture

lol 4 months ago I havent been on in a minute, but yeah he was sacked LESS than rodgers and is not considered a "mobile" qb like rodgers. Brady isn't fast but he has the pocket presence and mobility in the pocket that Rodgers has yet to develop. Brees, P. Manning and Brady all have the same thing, Rodgers will get there. And at this point Id even call it 1a Brady, 1b Rodgers

manlytt's picture

Rodgers hands down best, no offensive line and he still had 15 regular season wins.

Eminemsroyaltys's picture

Brees ans rodgers hmmmmm what r they up to today superbowl.Sunday

Eminemsroyaltys's picture

Tom Brady

No need for a reason he is god

BeastMoDe33's picture

Drew Brees is by far the best Qb

manlytt's picture

Will this be out on video, haha jk

sweatnosejackso's picture

Wow so you like the feathered hair look huh? The east coast old money look. Penny loafers and a sweet sweater tied in a knot around their neck. Or do you just like the way they throw the football. Just curious?

sweatnosejackso's picture

BOOM!!!! OLD MONEY!! Always had it and raised right. End of story. And well I got to say it RAISED IN THE SOUTH!!!

sweatnosejackso's picture

Well money actually does. If you are raised in it and raised well then you are what you are no big deal. New money is obnoxious and self loathing. Liking Brady has nothing to do with Brady the quarterback. Dude has skills but is a jackwagon !!!

sweatnosejackso's picture

Ok

sweatnosejackso's picture

Hands down Arian Foster!! Bring it..

sweatnosejackso's picture

2010 totals

Ray Rice= 1220 yards 5 touchdowns
Adrian Peterson= 1298 yards 12 touchdowns
Arian Foster=1616 yards 16 touchdowns WINNER!!!!

2011 totals= we will do yards from scrimmage Ray Rice played in 4 more games than Arian this year and had 200 yards more rushing.

Arian Foster= 141 yards a game WINNER!!!!
Ray Rice= 129 yards a game

2011 postseason game in which the Texans lost

Arian Foster becomes the first back to ever rush for more than 100 yards against the Ravens defense in a playoff game. 20 games..

Arian Foster 27 rushes 132 yards and a touchdown 4.7 yards a carry 5 catches for 22 yards...WINNER!!!!
Ray rice = 21 rushes 60 yards 2.9 yard average no touchdowns 4 catches for 20 yards

So I will say unlike a lot of information that gets spouted in these forums I backed mine up with numbers on this grrrl the only thing you can argue is well you just like RAY RICE better however the numbers don't lie. I will say that your advice you have given on gear to myself and many members has been spot on and thanks for that.

rodgers is one sick mo fo. hands down the best in the nfl right now. brees is having a great yr too. i think mvp should go to manning though. not cuz i think hes great. its just crazy how without one qb a whole team can suck it up so bad. unless theyre sucking it up on purpose to get A. Luck. if so, that aint fair. lol

iron matt's picture

SORRY I'M LATE !!!ROGERS OF COURSE!!!!

JOEDIEZ's picture

i really thik the experiense wins over in this one. its not all about the qb either its about the whole package he has to work with and NE has that. i think when you have a good package to work with it makes all the difference. Brees did it by using all of his options.

portuguesepride's picture

Packer's fans please give me solid arguements! I want a debate here lol

as of right now i beleive aaron rogers is

Bayhog707's picture

14-5 post season record 21 game win streak 50 tds in the regular season nfl mvp & SB MVP same year twice 6 pro bowls I think he declined one a few years back.358 passes without a pick 3x SB champ. I don't even like Brady but stats don't lie he's not even done but when he is he's always gonna ne mentioned with the greats . I mean all the guy does besides win is bang super models and throw touchdowns. As far as I'm concerned. Rodgers and Brees can't even hold his jock strap and my favorite fact in this whole discussion 6 round compensatory pick he's technically not even supposed to be in this conversation right?

sweatnosejackso's picture

In 2010 Brady had 36 touchdown passes and only 4 picks. That is out of this world. I also want to say it does not matter who his receivers are period. The dude is the man and I am no Patriots fan. I also love how competitive he is. The few times they lose the dude walks straight to the locker room no shaking the others hands. He is pissed they lost and if you dont run the right route he looks to the sidelines like get that guy out of here give me someone else which makes everyone play better.

portuguesepride's picture

Dude rodgers has at least a top 5 receiver corps in the NFL. On paper the Pats receivers LOOK good but idk if that measures what ive seen on the field. Ochocinco<Deion Branch at this point IMO. Wes Welker is NOT a #1 receiver. Some do not understand this but, Welker is at his best when there is a deep threat receiver on the field. But you do have to take into account Gronkowski-Hernandez. I believe they are the best duo of TEs in the league hands down and in a few years there will be a case as to how they are both in the top 5. I rant about this too much sometimes lol.

portuguesepride's picture

It always used to be 1a. Brady 1b. Manning (Meaning theyre both equally good) and then 3. Brees. I like Drew Brees but its about wins. He is 5-2 but those 62 were against the...the manningless Colts. I guess does deserve to be in the discussion but IMO Brady and Rodgers at #1 and then Brees

Bayhog707's picture

I have to go with Brady. First off a qbs level of greatness in this league is measured by how games they win stats ect.during the
Course of their career. To me this puts them in the category of elite status when they can string together a few years of consistent winning seasons and big numbers. To me they achieve legendary status and football immortality by the number of 4th quarter comebacks, Hall of Fame numbers and or Superbowl rings they accumulate during their career. Don't get me wrong
Rodgers is on fire right now but that team is stacked on both sides of the ball. Those are IMHO probably the best wr core 1 through 4 in the NFL. I mean their 4th wide out could be a #1 on most teams lol. Bradys team is far from the power house it once was and besides MOSS Brady has never had a true # 1 wr or the talent at wr that Rodgers has now. He has put up big numbers year in and year out with nobody's and that team is always in contention even with suspect defenses. I know I've rambled on but bottom line is Brady reminds me a lot of Montana. The fucker just has ice in those vains walks into the huddle looking like he just popped some xannex on the sideline, and he's down 6 in the 4th with a little over a minute left. And if he's playing your team or money is on the game fogettabout it. you know just like the defense knows that fucker is scoring & there ain't shit you can do about it !!!!! Give it a few years when age catches up along with free agency and "show me the money "happens to the Pack.

portuguesepride's picture

exactly bro Brady > Rodgers

portuguesepride's picture

The only stats that matter are Packers 6-0, Patriots 5-1. If there was two min left in a game in the Super Bowl, Brady. Rodgers has only had 3 comebacks in his career.
