Eroids, help from the community
Heres the scenario, as a side project I was put in charge of coming up with a program, along with figuring out the details it will entail.
This is by no means connected to eroids, but something ill be doing at work...here goes.
I will be doing diet analysis' for people of all ages.
-they log their diet for a week, and submit this information to me.
I then, dissect this information. Go through and do a full spread on it. with some of the programs I have it will give out a 20 page packet on this information.
- I will go through and pick apart their diet... telling them why they are deficient in some areas, or why their sodium is too high (just a base example)
Every analysis will be based on what a person hopes to achieve for example: (this is why you are not losing weight, this is what you need to change, here is some food examples, etc.
I guess this is hard for me because I'm not sure how much my actual service is worth?
help with
how long should the duration of this program be. I figure through doing this, I can help people adapt a healthier lifestyle by helping them reconstruct their diets.
how much should I charge.. Per analysis, or just an overall program fee?
Im open to any opinions.. this is beyond the level of what most dietitians do.. sadly
So, if you have any opinions on a good way I could run a program, you would help me out greatly...
ONCE AGAIN: this is by no means connected to me selling anything on eroids.
Thanks guys,
OJ

AnonThanks for all the responses.. probably gonna charge a $50 up front fee, then perhaps, a monthly (lowered) for the time to come.. cheaper in duration for those who stick at it

I did this in grad school we took 5 students and did a dietary analysis indicated their goals and what changes were needed to meet those goals in addition to what they were deficient in with relation to their diet. It took a good bit of time and in todays work place i do, and would charge $45-50
Mate as I am sure you know they need to make these changes for life. How many times have you heard the old. Oh yeah I lost 5kg but put 10 back on. Well bro you need to get it into their head that it's a life style choice not a diet. Every one who eats food is on a diet. Your diet is what you eat. I am sure that you know this bro. They need to understand this. As for the cost of doing each consult that I can't answer. Don't make it too dear or they won't come back for follow up visits, that's what you should be aiming for I think. The feeling that you will get from watching someone transform themselves is truely amazing. Good luck OJ.
MultipurposeI would say 25-45 dollars as a one time fee or as like a consultation fee.
AnonThanks for the reply brother. The big cooperate boss wants me to do an outline of what it is going to entail. I've just been indecisive so I figured some feedback would be good. Not sure if I should do a 1 time fee, or run an actual program where I do a weekly analysis of those who participate.

My wife works for a weight lose clinic and she says so many people after about a month decide it's to hard to change their ways and stop coming. There's two reasons why I think upfront is the way to go. First you gotta get paid, you don't wanna put in all that hard work only to be paid one week. Many people get the initial info and think "hey I'm just as smart as that guy, I can easliy do this on my own now that I know what's up." and second if you make people pay upfront they are less likely to drop out half way through, feeling as if they are pot committed and don't wanna lose out on the money they just spent. Hope this helps bro and good luck.
MultipurposeNo problem. That's why I said maybe a consultation fee just for the initial analysis of the diet, then if they want to use your program and dieting plans charge by week or session or meal plan. How did they choose you at work to be the one running this program?
