Lets get this judge out of our judicial system. A teacher in his 50's rapes a 14 year old girl. the 14 year old girl commits suicide. The judge gives this rapist 30 days in jail. There is a petition to unseat this judge. can you sign it?

The rapist had made some sort of plea deal where he avoided jail time if he did certain things....he didnt get jail time because he raped someone, he got jail time because he didnt follow what the court punished him with. Yellow journalism at its finest.

The judge didnt give him 30 days for raping someone. The judge gave him 30 days for not following a court order....do you see the difference?
AnonOne of us is not comprehending the story and it may be me do I will tell you what I got from the story. He got fifteen years with all of it suspended except 31 days and he got credit for one day served. I'm not sure if you read the quotes of the judge but he accused the 14 year old as being as responsible as the 54 year old.
He was kicked out of the program for not going to meetings. In most cases I've heard if you get kicked out of a diversion program the plea deal is off the table. There is definitely more to this. No mater what he was given the 30 days for, the judge stated the 14 yr old was just as responsible as the teacher in his 50s. That's a sick statement and if those are that judges beliefs he should be removed from the bench.
