WORRIED ABOUT PROSTATE CANCER? ....READ ON!!
TESTOSTERONE DOES NOT CAUSE PROSTATE CANCER!! If this were true then many 19 and 20 year old males would be developing prostate cancer as these are the individuals with the highest levels. But of course they don't. HERE IS WHY ...Males also produce progesterone, although about half as much as females do. The progesterone prevents the body from converting testosterone to di-hydro testosterone. It does this by inhibiting the enzyme 5-alpha reductase. Progesterone actually inhibits 5 alpha reductase far more effectively than Proscar and Saw Palmetto which are the more standard agents employed in traditonal and natural medicine.
BUT HERE IS THE PROBLEM ....As a male ages, his progesterone level decreases from around age 45. When progesterone levels decrease, the male's 5 alpha reductase converts the testosterone to di-hydro testosterone which is useless at removing the prostate cancer cells that estradiol stimulates. Estradiol also stimulates the enlargement of the prostate. This allows the prostate gland to swell and enlarge and in many cases transform into prostate cancer, the NUMBER ONE cancer in men.
HERE IS THE SOLUTION .....We have a simple, safe inexpensive solution to prevent and treat this problem, and that solution is Progesterone cream at a dosage of around 6mg - 10mg daily. I personally take it at 10mg/day in 2 divided 5mg doses. Another advantage is that in many cases it pretty much halts male pattern baldness. In case you are wondering, I am an Anti-Aging Consultant and have had great success recommending this hormone to my clients. Why not check it out fellow old timers?

Would the cream help a woman who is experiencing hair thinning? Right now the doc is pinning her condition to thyroid, but with little success on the hair situation. 47years old, flashes etc. Thanks
AnonIf treatment with thyroid hormone had no effect on her condition then I would have to guess that it may well be down to an estrogen problem. Talk to her doc about supplementing with a natural progesterone / estriol combo cream. You can get a custom cream made up by a compounding pharmacy.
Great post gazzer...i know there are alot of older bb`s on this site(me at 49).
Thanks
nice post ..very informative
Thanks
OE2000So does this progesterone cream help with overall prostate health? Or should I stick to this prostate message therapy...LOL
AnonYes, Progesterone replacement in men has been shown to help relieve prostate problems and help prevent prostate cancer. As a male's testosterone levels fall with age then there is a concomitant rise in estradiol levels, and this is the major reason why many older men develop breasts. Also, just as with women, estradiol stimulates cell growth in men too, and is potentially cancerous. So not only does the aging male end up with falling testosterone levels and increasing estradiol levels, he also has due to his falling progesterone levels, more of his testosterone being converted into di-hydro testosterone, which as we mentioned before, is useless at dealing with estradiols negative and potentially cancerous effects. So now you can see how important it is to maintain progesterone levels, irrespective of whether you are supplementing with testosterone or not.
OE2000I'm gonna pick your brain.... When I run 500mgs to 750mgs of test, I get no gyno and see no sides other than a weaker piss stream.. I'm 42, on TRT, have to get blood drawn every 6 months, PSA levels are low, .2 I think , will have to look at paperwork..... my question is that if I supplement with progesterone, will it shrink my prostate? Thanks gazzer
AnonLet's put it this way, Propecia is widely prescribed in the treatment of prostate enlargement. In any male who is suffering from an age related decline in Progesterone, we can assume that Progesterone supplementation will be more effective than Propecia in it's effects on prostate enlargement. Hope that helps!
OE2000Hell yes. My past MD gave me that Finestride, after 3 weeks I quit taking it because it made me feel like shit! Gonna get me some of that cream tomorrow.... Thanks for the help!
Yo gazzer! Hey bro, I'm a lil confused on how you measure cream in mg. 10mg of cream divided by two 5mg per day?
AnonOne full depression of the pump on top of the container delivers 10mg Progesterone. I just estimate half a pump. I use Life-Flo brand.
If progesterone cream prevents prostate cancer then it would already be the number one prescribed medication to all men over 40 years of age.
The better advice (and I am NOT a anti-aging consultant) for my fellow old guys is to find out what your baseline PSA (prostate specific antigen) level is, and keep an eye on it over time. Occasional spikes are not cause for alarm, but a gradual rise over time is. Testosterone does not cause prostate cancer but can cause it to accelerate, and there are NO creams or supplements on the market that are clinically proven to prevent it.
AnonBio-identical Progesterone cream is NOT a patentable medication. We are NOT talking about a drug here, we are discussing a bio-identical hormone derived from soya, produced by health supplement companies and available at very low cost over the counter without prescription. So of course there are no drug company sponsored studies on bio-identical Progesterone. Why would there be? A drug company will only invest money to study something that it can patent, and you cannot patent something that is naturally occurring in nature. So my young friend, I thank you for offering your opinion, it is most welcome, after all that's what this site is all about. However I would also suggest that perhaps you shouldn't be so quick to dismiss new information without at least doing a little research into the subject. After all, if bodybuilders had all taken the approach "I'm not doing that ....there are no drug company studies proving it works", then anabolic enhancement and the treatment of it's side effects would still be in the dark ages.
Give them a vote if you find it helpful.PermalinkAnonohh goody!! I got some progesterone cream with Gothics name on it..;-)
I'm almost afraid to ask, but I just gotta...Where do I rub this cream? ;-)
AnonThank you for the information!
