What's going on brothers and sisters in Iron! let me just say I am very thankful for this community and all the great articles and answers I have been getting from you all. Since I am still a newborn in terms of the AAS world I can't offer an expert opinion or advice to any of you guys but I can log and share what I am experiencing based on observations of what's happening with my body, gains weight mood etc. One thing I was really curious about was what it was going to be like during PCT. In my early 20s I took test and deca, who knows how much for 7 weeks before freaking out after deca dick and quitting cold turkey. Let me tell you... I quit everything I was doing, like I am talking quit life and became a hermit desperately hoping for an erection. Times have changed and I am happily 33 and much wiser. I started my first cycle, well my first "real" cycle 12 weeks ago: So here is what we got

Background stats

Age 33
Height 6'

Pre Bodybuilding Summer of 2021

Weight: 163
Build: 10% Body fat visable muscle mass (pretty skinny)
Performance: Run 15 miles, Swim 3 Miles, Bike over 50 miles any day of the week on demand for decent times.

Fall to winter of 2021 Bodybuilding training starts almost 4 months natural

Weight: 172
Build: >15% Body fat visible improvements to muscle mass
Performance: Dead 275, Squat 175, Bench 160, 10 controlled reps by end of December.

End of December to now 12 weeks Test E

Week 1-4 300 MG
Week 4-8 500 MG
Week 8-12 600 MG

Note: The reason I slowly increased the dosage was to monitor for sides as I went. First time, no rush.

Weight: 185
Build: About 15 percent body fat visible abs impressive improvements to muscle mass
Performance: Dead 350 Squat 225 Bench 205 10 Controlled Reps EOM February

Day 16 PCT

  1. Energy: My biggest issue here is getting out of bed and getting my shit together and getting through my warm ups as I lift in the AM. It’s not game breaking. I just don’t have that hop out of bed let’s fuck shit up mentality like when I was on cycle. Which is totally fine. Mortal again haha. But once I get past warm ups totally fine still killing my workouts and loving them. It’s just getting out of first gear.

  2. Mood: Stable directly linked to energy for me feeling sluggish makes me feel meh. But overall totally fine. No mood swings.

  3. Body weight changes: sitting at 188

  4. Lifestyle/sex drive: sex drive is there, no ED everything still running strong. Works fine and my social life is normal just don’t have that little extra boost anymore.

  5. Performance: my biggest surprise. Honestly about the same as when I was on cycle. Like the motivation might be a little lower. But still getting pumped still working hard and even hit a PR on military press today.

Overall: I feel decent. I have felt worse just normally in life before. Part of me is waiting for the other show to drop but if PCT stays like this I’ll be golden!!!

Quick update today starts Nova/Clomid great workout last night I really focused on mentally feeling the weight. It’s a mind game Forsure. Overall fine just tired and sluggish feelings.

Day 9 of HCG 13 days since last pin.

  1. Energy: Fluctuations detected Monday. Let’s call my job an athletic director for sake of anonymity. I went to a training camp this weekend with long days and lots of physical work. So Saturday and Sunday may have impacted my Monday. However now Tuesday I woke to soreness and generally more grogginess then I am accustomed too. Feeling up and down the last two days in terms of energy. I felt swings from above average to way below I need a nap.
  2. Mood: Mood swings detected Monday. General bitchiness to feeling good to sad to mad. Not extreme but a tad frustrating.
  3. Body weight Changes: Stable no changes. Sitting at 188
  4. Lifestyle/Sex Drive: indifferent about sex as of Monday. Everything still functions. At work I am a little short with people not out of anger but indifference/ lack of caring. Mostly I want to take a nap vs talk to people. Really fuckn hungry!!
  5. Performance: legs on Monday were completed within normal parameters however I felt removed from the workout. Mind muscle connection was difficult and pumps where just okay.

Both Shred and Airborne, great points. I could definitely do more in the vitamin/Supp game I suppose discussing diet is in order. Funny thing that I’m sure I’ll get made fun of for lmfao is I was vegan during many years of my distance training. Not for ethical save the planet drive a Prius reasons but because it kept me light and fast and I always felt full do to the super high fiber content. Many of those habits are still with me today so I know I pull tons of vitamins and minerals from my foods. I eat 6 clean meals in any given day and allow myself two meals a week of whatever the fuck.

Here is a sample day

Meal 1: Preworkout. (Coach Greg’s Diet Book) anabolic PB+J sandwich (2 slices Dave’s killer bread small slices. Tablespoon of peanut butter. Tablespoon Siggis Icelandic Yogurt. 1 scoop whey mixed in a food processor. Preworkout shake currently fuse.

Meal 2: Postworkout. 6oz salmon 2 whole eggs. 1 big handful of spinach. Oatmeal mixed with blueberries and raspberries cinnamon and a small bit of honey.

Meal 3: 2 scoops whey, soy milk. W/ fruit of choice

Meal 4: chicken w/ potato, rice or chickpea pasta & a hardy amount of greens or a turkey based potato chili with red beans spinach mushroom peppers onions etc.

Meal 5: either repeat meal four or a few times a week steak with asparagus or broccoli and potatoes cooked in a skillet with sliced apples, blueberries and bone broth. Then baked.

Meal 6: something easy like a shake or yogurt with berries and walnuts.

Supplements: whey, preworkout, creatine.

Progress: 6 Days into HCG, 9 Days since last pin.

Energy: Decent. I have noticed that I’m getting pretty sore but I have been going hard AF. Today I had a cheat meal, pizza and just passed out.

Mood: Still in a good head space no noticeable changes.

Bodyweight: 188 it’s been up and down within 5 LBS but I noticed that seems pretty normal during my cycle.

Lifestyle/sex drive: Still doing fine at work, sex drive is stable no issues. I hit a PR with the diamond bar deads today. 365 x 10 controlled reps.

Yes I have been dreading it myself. Right now I’m still in the game full throttle. I have been telling myself nothings changed same mission.

Will be an interesting log. I wouldn't expect much change in the first week. You still have a lot of exogenous test in your system. The following weeks are when it could get interesting once all the exogenous test has left system and you are trying to reboot. I'll follow along. Hopefully it goes well.

Progress: 3 Days into HCG, 6 Days since last Pin (Waiting on reconstitution solution from amazon)

  1. Energy: Stable no change. (I quit caffeine my last four weeks on cycle so I could have something to look forward to in PCT.)
  2. Mood: Same no change.
  3. Bodyweight: From 6 days ago -1.3 lbs
  4. Lifestyle/sex drive: No impact at work or with friends. Sex drive has dropped, everything still functional just desire levels I would same to that of a normal guy. In the midst of my cycle I was always ready to go for better or worse lmfao.
  5. Slight increases to squat performance as of yesterday. Plenty of power in the gym.

Notes: pleased to report HCG is painless in terms of injection via insulin syringe and does not, as of 3 days of administration seem to be giving me any negative sides.
