Picking your brain on some gear what to take and what to stay away from.

Ok Ive been reading on here for awhile and my head spins. So figure Id just ask. I have no problem getting anything I need. I am 43 going to get a blood test before I start anything. I work out Im still in great shape. I squat, dead lift still but with my age my recovery is lagging way to behind.
My first question.
What are the older guys doing for test? An amounts?
Want to take arimidex also what amounts are normal and how good are the benefits you see or feel.
Want to slip in some HGH or IGF-1 anyone getting results with either of these. Amounts/times.
If there is something Im missing let me know.

True, get bloods, everyone is different. I'm 49, I do var, test e, test p/tren a (occasionally), etc. And as many said try a test only cycle, and when you move up, I prefer to do short 8 week cycles to gauge what my sides are going to be. And you probably will get some sides, all depends on what you're doing. With any cycle I get back acne, whiteheads, kind of sucks pushing 50, but it is what it is. Do your research, and ask yourself, are you OK with getting sides?
My first cycle was test e 500mg (split 2x week), I threw in some var, and proviron. Towards the end, some HCG to keep the boys looking good, and then always a PCT (nolva, clomid). I also do 1mg of ameridex about a week or two into cycle to watch the estro, but with the provi, I'm probably OK anyway. Also get some liver protection (liv52), can't be too cautious. I do because I do the var, that's supposed to be mild, but has affected my liver levels.
I get bloods pre-cycle (after a cruise to see what I am normally), during cycle, and post cycle (after PCT). I also have a shit load of at home checks, cholesterol test kits, blood pressure, sugar, this way I know how it's affecting me that way. On top of that I use the Fitbit Surge watch to keep an eye on my pulse (which does go up when I'm doing a cycle due to weight gain, and possible estro).
It's good to look good, but you have to be aware with what's going on inside, not just how you look outside.
@ErieToPitt, thanks for this post! I appreciate you sharing. I'm learning a lot here, too. I am doing my research and trying to learn as much as possible. Thank you!
Start with a test only (enanthate or cypionate) cycle first. Do not jump into multiple products on your first cycle. Start out low and see how you feel. If you do NOT need TRT but jump in too hard and too fast you can really damage your system to the point of needing TRT. Once on TRT you are on for life usually. Get the blood work posted here there are some very intelligent guys on here that can advise you.
Welcome to EROIDS...
RustyhookerGet the blood test and post results with personal info removed.
Up top the pulldowns...community. ..groups. first cycle group has plans laid out nicely. Test only is plenty.
If you need trt after blood test, work closely with endo Dr. Don't mess up your trt if it's needed til you see how it works for you. Many folks hit trt at our age and are plenty happy.
X2... good advice
