+ 1 Not the worst

I had imagined it would be so much worse than this. Any input? Been on cycle practically all year.

Platelet count is the most concerning thing I see. You’re over 50% above the high end of normal. High platelet count means higher risk of blood clots. Didn’t you get RBC, hematocrit and hemoglobin? If not I’d guess they are sky high, and you need to come down to a low TRT dose at most. And probably donate some blood.

I'm thinking what you're thinking and yeah a CBC is pretty standard and cheap. Yeah it sucks because my hematologist says it's usually an unknown cause or one that's hard for them to pinpoint without loads of testing. I was a bit over the top range of 450,000 once in the most they did was a jak2 genetic test considering my EPO was in range. However the CBC is important because if your WBC is jacked way up, like mine was, then it was most likely why the total platelet count was up. So we chalked it up to an unknown infection, and the plan was to retest in 6 months which all ended up being well. Considering mine were so high which was considered leukocytosis they did run an extra test which required a centrifuge so they can separate and examine the WBC's to rule out leukemia. If EPO was out of range they would have wanted a bone marrow biopsy

Aside from all that he could very well be anemic good call Iron

A 42 hematocrit and 13.9 hemoglobin on cycle? Are you anemic lol? That’s unreal. I’m pretty sure you’d be below normal off cycle which is like 41 for hematocrit a 13.5 for hemoglobin. Maybe some people are unaffected by gear but most people run atleast 2-4% higher on HCT on cycle or on TRT. Some even higher than that.

He got the Covid vaccine mate Good

Bloodwork is pretty bad. Should’ve tested GGT, ApoB and Cystatin C and I promise you would’ve seen how your organs are asking for help. Would also recommend getting a prescription for ezetimibe and rosuvastatin (if based in the US there’s a couple of telemed places), all the other supplements are waste of money. If BP or cystatin C are bad, consider adding telmisartan.

His eGFR is really good, normally that is much worse than Cyctatin C on a like for like basis if his kidneys were suffering.

IppoHajime's picture

I have to add them manually but I don’t know if every site is the same. Usually panels these places sell are kinda meh because they don’t test everything or add things that are not necessary. What I do is I build my own before paying for the requisition.

The basic is fine if you click on it, it will show what is included. You need a CBC, CMP, Lipids, Testosterone free and total, Estradiol, I think is also has TSH and PSA.

Do you think the bodybuilder one is worthwhile as it includes SHBG, GGT and Prolactin? I’ve been thinking of switching my subscription from men’s hormone health checkup for every 3 months.

Aggieguy's picture

Yea if you want those tests do it I usually just add a prolactin on or ferritin but it’s whatever you want to check

The way I would handle this is to make lifestyle changes (running actual TRT doses, locking in diet and cardio/NEAT) and wait 2-3 months before retesting. Cholesterol, ApoB and GGT changes back to “normal” aren’t quick so you have to give it a little bit to see if the changes you made work. If not, get a prescription and retest a few months after that.
Quick note: If you had bad values before blasting maybe lifestyle changes won’t work and these medications are the next step.

Npp in the beginning of the year anavar later, then tren and winstrol the last couple months. 600mg Tren for 6 weeks .....

TBH Pal - Considering you've been running all that lot I'd say those Liver results aren't that bad!!! LMAO

I have an ALT of 83 when continually running 40mg DBol inject ED month in month out AND taking Milk Thistle, NAC, Astragalus root, Choline, Glutamine, Zinc etc. Maybe the Liv 52 is actually doing something after all!!!

But yes, give it a break now and those will soon go back into normal range. I had serious Stomach pains at ALT 210 with Steroid induced Hepatitis years back running 700mg Tren ace and 80mg DBol ED for a long time. Its no fun as you can't eat or drink without being in excruciating pain - affects everyone differently though as I've seen guys up in the 6 to 700's on here and still feel fine amazingly - it's those Kidneys you wanna watch mate because they DON'T recover themselves when you hit them hard. eGFR and Creatinine are much more important to monitor than ALT and AST.

Any eGFR over 100 is great mate - try keep it there over your steroid journey Good

this, big fan of astragalus, NAC, TUDCA. it's also helped my fathers panel whose 85 tremendously from all the meds they have him on. i suggested it to him and it lowered his enzymes pretty quick. at the minimum take 1-2g NAC/day and kick start that gluthatione bro.

best of luck!
