I have been back at it for a week now recovering from HIP REPLACEMENT. It's a grind and I can't do what I want but I can do something. Goals set this January by summer time: get down to 250 with 15% body fat. I just turned 41 so I only have a few years left of wanting to keep getting bigger and bigger. ----------

I’m loving the 40+ club, it’s definitely motivating to see us older gents keeping up with the young ones. Looking good, keep it up!
Looking big fella
Hell yeah dude. Does the new hip prevent certain exercises?
It's only been 2 months. I still can't put a sock on the right side (right hip was the replaced one) so yeah squats or anything like that is out the question. I just started doing leg curl and lex extension. Honestly though I've never been much of a barbell squatter after reconstructive knee surgery on one and arthroscopic on the other. I'm just scared I think
Looking good.bro keep going u have plenty time for grown
41 and need a hip replacement!?! Damn!! Did you injury it, have a genetic thing, or wear it out?? If so how? Most Dr's will try to have you wait bc you will end up needing a 2nd hip replacement since you are so young. Good luck and keep at it!!!
No just years of playing 3 sports until college and played in college. I used to run long distance a lot on concrete and started working out at age 27. I did cortisone shots for a year but they don't help anymore. Id been in pain off and on for 7 years but the past year just on. Couldn't even walk with my family
Buddy don't get yourself down about it, we all age and there is nothing you can do about it. As long as you keep running gear you can continue to progress until you hit about 50 is what I have watched and heard over the years, you just have to be more mindful of making sure you are fully healed before each training session and don't go MEGA heavy unless you are willing to pay the consequences if it goes wrong. Stan Efferding was still setting bench and deadlift records when he was 49 and I mean BIG numbers too!! The way to look at it is most guys have pussied out of training was they reach 40, we are still going at it and as long as you have the desire thats all you need. Its once it no longer matters to you is when you should worry ....
Looking good man. I'm sure you probably remember this athlete named Bo Jackson. Bo had total hip replacement. Talk about talent. In my opinion most talented athlete ever. Who runs up a wall? Who breaks a MLB baseball bat over their knee? Folks need to watch his highlights if they don't know who he is
