Stage One; The Desire to Compete

Thanks Ollie for your suggestion about breaking down the subject of which I will title "The journey to the Stage." Yes I agree it can be confusing for new comers who are thinking of taking their passion to the next level which find themselves wondering how to go about the process. Or to those who do have experience but are looking to refine and fine tune their regimen. I will try to shed light on this subject as much as I can by breaking it down in stages.
This stage, stage one, we will discuss the desire to compete and how to make that desire a reality.
Anything great whether big or small starts with a desire. In the case of being a competitive BB, I normally hear things like " I want to compete in such and such time" or "I would like to take my body to the next level and be like the heros I see in the magazines." These desires and many more are good. It's a step or shall I say a glance in the right direction. Now we know that having the desire is not enough. But if the desire is strong then it will lead the person into the next step and that is to full fill the questions of when, where, what, and how.
You may ask "why did I waste my time or yours with this simple subject?" my answer to you is; if you want it bad enough then you will get it. If you are willing to put the hard work into it then you will be rewarded. If you think you can withstand hunger pains, having to forgo all normal everyday life pleasure so that you can eat every two hours and so on then it's yours for the grabbing. How many of you know someone who set out to do something but never finished it?
So the next stage we will discuss is "personal assessment" meaning, do you have what it takes?
Till next time. Keep also in mind that I don't know everything and will need your pardon and patients as we tackle this issue.

Want and desire are two totaly different things. If you want to do something then it may get done, but if you desire something it's a much stronger emotion. You will do almost anything to achieve what it is that you desire
