Here is a little thought that came to me the other day. Even alcoholics have thoughts. That is one trouble with them. Their fertile, active imaginations run rife with their thoughts. Frequently they have great thoughts which may carry them to the heights of accomplishment or sacrifice, only to be dashed into the pits of defeat and despair by their arrogance and indulgence, where their thoughts are changed to bad, fearsome, apprehensive thoughts and necessitate recourse to the all too-familiar method of surcease--another drink. But this thought may have some value.

We missed the reality and the beauty of the forest because we were diverted by the ugliness of some of its trees.
Our perception is what defines how we look at things.
For me staying gratefull. For the littlest shit man.
Puts so much perspective in the moments as I go through this life .
Life on life's terms is hard as fuck.
I try to live life on God's terms.
It's easier when I'm not running the show.

Brother...great little post man...by the grace of a higher power, and the 12 steps I've been sober for almost 5 and 1/2 years. To this day that is one part of the book I will never forget...my sponsor and I were doing some reading and he took us to this page (early in sobriety) I was bitching about my job and this and that and he remade me read this and I looked at him a little confused. He then wadded up a gum rapper and themrew it on the table and said "you HAVE a job, you HAVE a car, You are SOBER and your focused on that." And pointed to the gum.wrapper lol...never forget that. Good stuff buddy keep doin the deal.
Spend your thoughts like your money, "In God We Trust" So if you don't spend your money on useless shit, so should your thoughts too go... or GOD
