Need help Bros
Six months ago as I was walking out the gym i felt hip pain, the next day it was worse. It took almost 2 months for it to get better. I tried working out but it continued to bother me. I didn't do anything for 4 months afterwards hoping rest would help it. About a month ago I started swimming and physical therapy. What I have, so saids the doc is a strained back (all MRIs came back fine of hip and lower back), Im doing PT and started working out again. He suggested I warm the area up beforehand and use a cold packs right after workouts, which has been working. He also said it might be something i have to live with. It's kind of disheartening to hear. I'm currently trying to lose weight and do some yoga and do more core work/p90x type of exercises. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

RustyhookerElliptical machine is low impact and works well. Wonder If that movement irritates your injuries?
i can do any movement, elliptical as well. i feel little to no pain when standing but when i lay down or workout it gets tender. doc said maybe a shot but i was planning a cycle, what do u suggest?
I feel like i have significantly less mass on my lower right side, could this be a a muscle tear?
Do the pigeon yoga pose a few times a day to open your hips up.
I had something similar last summer. I found a pt that specializes in active release therapy. It hurt like hell but he was able to increase my flexibility, open my hips up, and ease the pain which I felt in my back and hip at my piriformis.
