Leg Workout
So these past few months I've been spending 2-3 hrs in the gym a day(4 days a week) and I was lifting til the point I go past the pump but I guess with the gear I don't want to stop.
I would get back from the gym have my shake and crash out for a few hours and was repeatedly getting test flu and being worn out all the time, probably from stressing my CNS.
I've been working on cutting down on all my workouts to 1 hr max and my split is chest, arms, legs, back/shoulders
While I probably still need work on all my splits Im most worried about legs.
The goal is usually 1 warmup 10 reps, then 3 more 10rep working sets.
Im thinking of sticking to behind neck bb squats and lunges, machine extensions and curls, leg press, seated and standing calf raises
Its just since legs make up half my body so I try to do everything I can think of but don't want to overtrain/wastetime

Well what does your diet look like bro?
seems like the volume is there but working sets are supposed to be taken to failure so if you were training intense enough i dont think you would be able to do 3 working sets per exercise so either up the weight , shorter rest periods , drop sets , forced reps
You pretty much just repeated what i said. I agree on people doing 3-5 sets of whatever and they say its intense. If it was that intense you would be done after 1-2 sets taken to failure then beyond.
didnt read any post just responded
i guess great minds think alike
I will give ya what I do, it's intense man. 2 working sets taken to failure then beyond failure (with a partner) using forced reps and negatives or do a triple drop set but never both. (It's to much for CNS)
Leg ext.
leg press or hack squat
Smith machine front squat (I like the smith machine cause there is no need for balance, you can just smash the quads!)
STDL
Laying leg curls
ISO leg curls
Standing calf raise
Seated calf raise
This isn't a BS workout. Very Intense cause you're using the pre exhaust principle nd will be smoked after your leg ext before going to the compound stuff. Also remember you need to cycle this style of training cause its hell on the CNS.
That's a good leg workout also. I do one really similar to that sum times. Those front squats on smith machine r the bomb!
I really like the smith machine, reason being is you can target the quads alone without having to balance with a free bar. Pure isolation.
I agree and I think my favorite part is the controlled negative. The pain and exploding up from the VERY bottum . I enjoy the torture hahaha.
Depends on ur goals. R u trying to add size and detail to ur legs ? Try this...squats bb 4x20. Leg press 4x8-15. Leg xten superset w leg curl 4x15...seated calves 4x50 superset w standing calves sets of 15.
On leg press put ur feet 8 inches apart high on sled.
