I wasn't quite sure where to post this but since people use these activity trackers for different purposes I thought this all encompassing section would be a good place.

Anyway, I recently joined the fad and got the Fitbit Charge HR. To be honest, I was very skeptical about its ability to accurately monitor my heart rate all day so I decided to put it to the test.

I work in the health care industry and have easy access to medical equipment such as vital signs monitors, pulse oximeters etc. So today I measured my heart rate using top of the line medical equipment and compared it to what my Fitbit was reading. I did this three times, using three different machines and every time the Fitbit was within +/- 5 bpm.

I was very impressed and just wanted to share with you all in case anyone else is on the fence about them.
