Deck of cards

ad

Noticed a couple of guys doing this and decided to join them. Put a deck of cards between you and your partner, flip a card every 15 seconds, whatever face value it is, that's your reps, seems simple enough. Face cards, (jack, queen, king) are 10 reps, Aces are 1 rep, Jokers are an additional 10 seconds of rest, and 2-9 are obvious. Try to complete the whole deck in 15-20 minutes. Remember, 52 cards total.... We were doing push-ups, but you could incorporate this into any exercise.... squats, abs, pull-ups. Thought I would share cause this whipped my ass, I ain't gonna lie, I made it to about the 35th card and called it quits...LOL ~~~~~~later

haha most gyms are full of the same types. i know which you mean, usually the 18-21 yr old doing half repped curls on preacher that would be way too heavy to complete a full rep, yet really hoping you notice so you know he had STRONG arms. i dont like ego and bad attitude i want to do my squats and go. if i wanted to have impressive arms i would bore myself to death curling every session. but sadly i will have to put up with actually being a lot fucking stronger. ergh never mind me.

you want a card workout??? this is what i would do to people and the satisfaction comes for days later. 13 cards on the floor in front of you. i would do it with the person but my endurance was able to handle it you step forward squat down and pick up 1 card, step forward squat put down the one card, squat pick up 1 card, squat pick up next card, step forward and do the same with each putting each down one at a time and picking each up one at a time till you've done all 13. it is a crazy work out. and to see guys barely able to walk for a couple days after is cool. if you dont have the leg endurace it may get you but i love the workout.

We would "do a deck" a few times a day in lockup (no weights where i was), good way to pass time and get pumped. Pushups, hack squats, burpees, any multi joint exercise will do. You'd be surprised how buff a cat can get on calisthenics, carbs, mad water, and low quality protein. We'd compete by going till someone cant do anymore, it was nothing to do 4 decks in a row after a while.

Definitely old school, in the hole workout... Way back, way way back in the day, 300 burpees in 45 minutes, did it for 15 months 22 days in a SHU trip. Old history, but I was in great shape
