Coming back

ad

Hi people, im just starting to get back in shape or rather working out again after at least 10yrs.. of doing noithing much but work/husband/father/ and doing nothing but gaining BF over the years. Was an avid lifter back than and had alot of energy as well, now at 36 pretty tired and run down. Just joined a gym and want to regain some of that youth/energy back. I have a cycle on hand minus the AI's/ Pct. But dont want to use them untill i drop my BF from at least 15 to 8%, mainly stomache it seems. Ok i have to take 1mg of klonipin just to fall asleep at night, i realize it takes awhile to "wake up" from it in the morning. I guess thi is my real Question.. Pre-workout, im really tired in the morning, coffee does little, i could take sudafed and get a nice buzz lol, but crash. Any suggestions on a meal 1-3 hrs before training? How about Creatine? i havent used that stuff in years any advice? thx

IMO Creatine Monohhydrate is the tried and true. Take 5 grams with post workout shake - any more is a waste- however some thought out there that you can up doses for the first week if you've been off it for a few weeks. see http://www.musclehack.com/creatine-cycling/

An alternative to a jittery pre-workout drink- take 1500mg Vit C, 400 iu E Complex, and 200 mg Caffeine. Drink plenty of water. As you're looking to loose bf- i'd just down a couple of tuna cans before training.

Sounds like you're training in the morning? Eggs, oatmeal, and apples satiate my hunger, and good for other obvious reasons.

Tried melatonin to sleep?

Well done on starting back. Its phenomenal how we can abuse/neglect our bodies for years but with self control/wisdom/determination can turn that all around. Good luck on reaching your 8% mark.
