My diet :)

Hey guys, LONG time no talk! As a couple of you guys know i took some time off from bodybuilding after my show.. Well long story short a little bit after i came back, my Girlfriend of over 2 wonderful years left me for a guy she knew for a week. So setting myself back even more, i felt like i lost everything. but i realized I might not have control over my love live and being with her, BUT I can control my future in bodybuilding.

so here is my diet for you all! weight: currently 218lbs (up from 206lbs three weeks ago) BF: havent gone in and checked but my metabolism is rolling from doing lots of cardio the first two weeks before I started this diet.

wake up: vitamins, 2 caps of glycolog by BSL, greens shake, 10 minutes of cardio (high intensity)

meal 1: 70g carbs from Grits or Oatmeal (which ever i am feeling. increase to 90g of carbs on heavy back and leg days), 2 cups eggwhites, 4 fish oil caps (4g of fats)

meal 2 (pre workout meal 1.5HRs before training): 250g of Jasmine rice, 6oz ground beef

15minutes from training: 2 Rice krispy treats, 1.5 scoops angel dust pre, and a scoop of hype by BSL (3rice krispy treats on leg and heavy back days)

intra shake: 20g carbs from karbolyn usually (using Redcon1's new product instead since I got a free tub!), 1 scoop of BCAA, 5g glutamine, 5g creatine, 1 scoop of glycerol for the pump.

post workout meal 3: 6oz white fish, 1 scoop of isolate, 100g of jasmine rice, 50g of carbs from gummy bears (usually its 25 gummy bears for the ones i buy)

meal 4: 8oz chicken, 1 thomas whole wheat bagel or 52g of carbs from rice

meal 5: same as meal 4 usually ill swap the carb source.

1HR before last meal: fiber drink! (i shit my balls off usually right after eating my last meal lol), and 10 minutes of high intense cardio (no this doesnt mean sex can replace this cardio session)

pre bed meal: 6whole eggs, 1 scoop of slow digesting whey, 50g carbs from oatmeal with some fruit, 1tb macnut oil.

Thats all! nothing insane the calories i think are something like 4100 but i dont belive in that IIFYM BS so i dont care about my macros. ill slowly adjust it as i go along! i need to lower my food intake tonight as ive been gaining weight too fast. I start prep for my show feb7th or so! 18 week prep into my warm up show before i do collegiate nationals in july!

PS. On non training days, cut carbs in meals 2 and 3 out completely. Meals 1,4,6 I cut carbs in half. Meal 5 I replace with my dirty cheat meal.

Hey man, just so you know, not following IIFYM doesn't mean you shouldn't be concerned about your macros. The whole idea behind IIFYM is that you can eat whatever as long as it gets you to your macros for the day like a fried chicken sandwich. The people who don't believe in IIFYM basically assert that there is more to nutrition than simply the macros and the quality of the food matters, like oatmeal sweet potatoes brown rice etc.

Still, your macros matter no matter what you believe! You should still make sure you're getting enough protein, adequate fat, and the rest carbs.

Lots of lessons to be learned from any relationship brother. I'm glad to see you've put a positive perspective on your hardship and are able to move forward with grace. It's not easy. I recently had something similar go down with my ex. As difficult as it was it has been an invaluable time for self reflection and growth. Wish you all the best. I've seen your pictures in the past. I'm sure you're going to do great things in bodybuilding, and, in light of this post, in life.
