+ 5 I was killing myself with food.

ad

I was always in great shape and a very active outdoors person until I lost someone very very dear to me from cancer. I began to self destruct buy eating my way into oblivion. I would stop at McDonalds eat in the car then stop at Popeyes and do this till I was on the brink of puking. I did this for about 4 years. I went from 210 to 447 in those 4 years. Became diabetic and wasn’t
Even able to put on my own socks. It stopped me from socializing and I was miserable. Then one day I realized that I’m not helping anything but just hurting everyone around me. I bought a juicer and made up a strict diet plan and followed it religiously. I was able to get back to 230 now and 12% bf. My mental state is excellent and my diabetes is gone. I’m telling this to inspire others who may be big or have gained weight due to depression. I promise once you start on the path to healthy it become addictive because you see results fairly quick and feel better just as quick. If I found this place back then I probably would have turned things around quicker because of all the great supportive people here. I’m really enjoying Eroids.

Thank you One! Food can be as bad or worse than drugs in some cases.

I understand how it feels to be in a dark place and feel like you have no escape from the sadness. It can be very hard to take control of your life, especially when it comes to your diet and health. However, it is not impossible and I'm so glad that you were able to turn things around for yourself! Your story is an inspiration to others who may be going through something similar. With hard work and dedication, anything is possible. It's great to hear that you're now feeling better and are back on track with your health. It's wonderful that you found Eroids, as it really is an amazing community which provides immense support. Thank you for sharing your story, it is truly inspiring!

Thanks Savage! Now I have some physical issues like some vertebrae issues just from being rough on my body in my younger years. They want to fuse C6-C7 vertebrae but I thought I could overcome the pain but it’s real bad 24/7 and I’m not a painkiller guy. I think I’m going to do the surgery in April but I’m back in the gym. Pain either way so I may as well keep in shape. But I must admit Eroids is an amazing free support tool for all types of issues. Great group of guys. BFG when is the First Annual Eroids Cruise? That would be so fucking cool lol.

one day I realized

Just like that? What was the tipping point?

Musclemem's picture

Several things BFG. I was getting to the point where I wasn’t able to put my own socks on. I always felt tired. I got diabetes which I now reversed. Plus my daughter is my world. We were hanging out and she told me she would never marry if I wasn’t there to give her away. She’s only 15. Plus a few other things I was weighing in my mind.

I will check to see but I was very camera shy because I was so embarrassed of what I had become. Food is worse than drugs if abused. You can probably live longer getting high than you can eating yourself to death. May sound stupid to some but I strongly believe that.

Great to see you have turned your life around and you have a very inspirational story you can tell to others who think that there is no way out too. It can be extremely easy to get stuck in a rut for many years and just accept the way your life is going, until the moment you realise you want to be happy and enjoying this one life we get again Smile
