training on/off cycle ?
ad
For the most part throughout my time training I always tried to hit each body part twice a week. I was strolling thru the forums a while back and I read something written by a very high ranking and respected member that had me both interested and confused, which was if your trying to add mass training each body part once a week was more efficent and suited to this goal. I was off cycle at the time so I changed my workout schedule around so I was hitting everything once a week. Now here where my confusion comes in because im about to begin cycling. Does this apply to when your on cycle as well? ( hitting every body part once a week in three day split). I know ass improves rate of recovery so that's why I was confused.

Here's the thing bro were all different. Romnie coleman did a 3 day split twice a week so he hit everything twice a week lifting 6 days a week an look what he build. Arnold would train twice a day 2 hours each time 6 days a week. Dorian yates built his physique training 3-4 days a week. There's nothing set in stone, you think ronnie could have been better lifting only 3 days a week or dorian could have been better lifting 6? Doubt it, they found what worked for them. And that's what it's all about. So if twice a week worked great for you off cycle don't change a thing. There's no one rigjt way to do this.
AnonI tried hitting everything 2x a week and even on cycle I felt like it was too much. I try to hit everything once every 5 days or so. Legs are the only thing I have started trying to hit twice a week and its more like hitting quads in one and hamstrings in the other.
Being on cycle is great for recovery but if you do too much too fast you are asking for an injury. Your body can only do so much to try and adapt and keep up with accelerated muscle gain. Gotta listen to your body bro, its not gonna lie to you. Everyone is different, trial and error
