New and need help
ad
I'm new to the forums and to steroids. I'm 43 and have been lifting and eating clean for a couple years, and have been seeing good results, but I want to go to the next level and start cycling with some gear.
I'm a little overwhelmed with all the info and forum topics on these boards, and I was wondering if someone could please help me sift through all this and link me to a good cycle to try, so I know what to buy and can plan it all out accordingly. All of the cycles on here are all over the place and it's hard to make a decision based on what I've seen. Please help. I just want to build hard lean muscle. Nothing crazy. Thanks.

RustyhookerStart first with your Dr and full blood screen. You might be a trt candidate, horrible cholesterol, liver or kidney issues. Many guys came here just like you and Dr got ball rolling. If your natural hormones are just low....that alone can slow or stop goals. Or estro too high naturally.
Be safe. Be smart.
your dr did not prescribe test p at 100mg a week. Let your endo fix you long before a cycle. You're already messing up at now 200mg a week.
+1 my thoughts exactly.
Rustyhooker, Really? Do I need to post a pic of the prescription? I appreciate the feedback, but why would you assume I'm lying about something as benign as a testosterone prescription? Yes, my doctor prescribed me 100mg/week testosterone injections. And of course that was after a blood screen. How else would she have known my T was low? My estradiol was also low. Although I don't have much of a perspective, I must say that I feel like twice the man I was in my 20's. My size and strength gains have been soaring, and I can't remember ever getting as many notices and comments on my physique. The reason my doctor referred me to the endocrinologist was to treat me for low HGH. For whatever reason she could treat the low T, but can't treat low HGH. Thought that was weird. At any rate, haven't seen the endo yet, but I am going to explain to him that of course I want my levels to be regulated, but that I would like to be treated with a regimen that would support a bodybuilding lifestyle. I'm not sure if that's something they can do or not, since bodybuilding isn't any kind of medical necessity. So I am curious if anyone out there has had these discussions with their doctor to know if there are guidelines they need to follow and are not allowed to prescribe anything other that what is absolutely necessary, as usually bodybuilders get their own gear and self medicate under the radar of the medical field and care of a licensed physician.
RustyhookerRead slowly.... he did not give you test PROP.
After you reread that.... reread that 200mg a week of whatever you're running IS A CYCLE.
Then take notice that if your endo finds out that you're self administering, you most likely will not be seen again. Possibly, it'll be put into your medical files and even lose your insurance. You see, they consider self administration of hormones the same as being a drug addict.
So possibly you'll read what I'm saying and have a better time here at eroids. Its your health. Not my worry at all.
And hopefully, youre not just another kiddie like the one banned 3 days ago .
My mistake. It wasn't test P, it was test C. Sorry. I know that's kind of a big difference, but only in how fast it releases into the bloodstream, correct? However, the prescription is for 100mg/week. Does that sound more feasible? About self-administering... do you think that the endocrinologist would be able to tell that I raised it to 200mg/week? At any rate, I understand your guy's concerns. I don't want to get anyone into trouble here, or cause a ruckus. The point of my question is that I'm new to this, and would appreciate any guidance that can be provided here. Not to step on toes or get into a prolonged debate. That being said, can we start over? I would really like to know if anyone has had their doctor work with them to enhance their hormone levels for the purposes of bodybuilding. I was prescribed testosterone only because my bloodwork showed that I was low T. I'm still low HGH which is why I'm being referred to an 'endo'. When you guys get your blood work done, are you doing it privately somehow or are you going to your doctors?
RustyhookerTheres no worries on toe stepping.
Yes, if Dr prescribed 100mg and your bloods were 450 as example then you're secretly doing 200 and bloods then have your test levels at 1100.... they will know. The endo got a PhD bro.
Let endo get your test and ai on point a good 6 months and remember that they retest often.
There's great food dudes on here that can definitely help trim the gut area. Someone lied to you about ab exercises will make abs poke way out. If there's a fat layer, the fat will be pronounced. Look at boxers. They work abs and obliques constantly. And belly is flat.
The big bloated igf gut maybe what your buddy referred to. Thats a whole different animal.
Also, just because you're on trt doesnt mean magic will happen without hard gym efforts and clean foods. Gear is a repair agent. If there's no repairs needed from gym.....
Thanks, man.
So, my T numbers before my 'cycle' were 154, and about 6 weeks in they were 603. After this next week will be 12 weeks in, and I'm going to cut off, and I don't see the endo until September. I figure by then I will be pretty stable and will be giving him a good sample to allow him to assess me.
Trust me, I understand that the lifting and diet are the most important components. Right now I'm just getting treated because my numbers are low, and gathering information for when I want to try a cycle for that extra edge later on. I really don't want to try and acquire gear on my own. I would rather have it prescribed by the endo with the understanding that bodybuilding is one of my goals. This brings me back to my original question(s). Have any of you had this talk with your doctor, and had him/her prescribe you anything with that in mind, or does the medical field shy away from that and only give you what is absolutely medically necessary to keep your numbers in some predetermined range that's considered "healthy"?
Again, thanks for your time and feedback. I appreciate it.
Even though this guy is completely clueless, I'm gonna disagree with you on one point. 200mg/wk of test is not a cycle for some guys. I will agree that for most guys 200mg/wk will put them into super physiological range, but not everyone.
Wow, thanks for the replies, fellas.
Regarding the questions about my present fitness and goals...
My height is 5'11" and I weigh about 240lbs. I do have a bit of a gut, but since I've been lifting has been slowly diminishing. I really don't concentrate on abs too much yet. I've read that instead of building ab muscle first, I should try to lose the fat, otherwise I'll just get a bigger gut.
My goals are to simply build lean muscle to whatever extent my genetics will allow. I know that sounds generic, but I'm not aware of how diverse our fitness goals can be. I want to have as much muscle as I can build, with a moderate to low amount of body fat.
As a side note, I have been diagnosed with low T a couple months back, and my doctor prescribed me Test P, at 100mg a week. She started me out with a 5 vial refill amount, and was given 2 to start, so I actually have been taking 200mg/wk for about 11 weeks now. I'm going to stop after next week, and start planning my next cycle. I also have low HGH and my doctor has referred me to an endocrinologist to get medicated for that. I was thinking of trying to take advantage of this and see if he can help me reach some fitness goals by prescribing me HGH and whatever else he sees fit. Anyone have suggestions of how to approach this or what is legal for me to ask him to do for me? I'm not aware of any legal or policy boundaries exist in this regard, with regards to what insurance typically covers and what not... If anybody has been in this situation before, please feel free to enlighten me.
At any rate, I hope this was enough info to keep the good tips and suggestions coming. I really feel like I'm in good hands here. Thanks.
What's your body fat % boss? That will effect the advice you'll get here pretty drastically. At your height/weight, I'm guessing it's on the high side?
Calipers or a water displacement test at the gym can tell you, but If you don't know, check these out and estimate (be honest if you want advice that will actually help you and not hurt you).

Also, as mentioned below but worth repeating, what are your fitness goals in life and for the cycle?
My bad, I didn't even look at his height & weight. I just read lifting and eating clean for couple years with results.
We need to know your goals your diet and training routine.
You should also post your stats in full.
I know that there is alot of information that goes all over the place but I still reccomend reading as much as possible even if it doesn't pertain to you. All information is good.
Post this up and I will point you in the right direction for what you need
Test E or Test C at 500mg per week for 10 weeks and THAT'S IT! Don't try multiple compounds on your first go because if you have an undesirable reaction, you won't know exactly what is causing it. Some say go 12 weeks but I recommend 10 for the simple reason that you will order exactly 2 10ml vials and when they are empty, it's over. If you have a 3rd vial it's extremely tempting to push the cycle further because you love the results. 10 weeks, have your AI, PCT and all supplies BEFORE you start. If you are missing even one thing, push your start date back until you have it all. Read the yellow sticky notes on top of these forums before you pull the trigger. Do not downplay or underestimate a 10 week test cycle based on the crazy shit you see on here. It's your first go and if done correctly, you will see great results. If your first cycle is bad ass, just repeat it for your next go. Don't be eager to try everything right away. Diet is EVERYTHING! Work hard on your diet plan before you start. Best of luck to you man.
Oh look, a generic, cookie cutter cycle that doesn't take the OP's individual goals and level of preparedness into account in the slightest.
Goals,diet,training ,bf%,
I know that you have good intentions but his stats could put him at 30+ bf. He shouldn't run at that also he might not have stepped into a gym ever.
I'm assuming you were addressing Jones because I'm essentially saying the same thing you are. This is why I dislike one-size-fits-all cycle advice
Yes you are correct not meant for you brother
I see i replied to you definitely a mistake
You left the BF blank. Got a rough estimate? Are you trying to lose fat?
