Its my first time....

ad

I'm new to all this so please be gentle. Gonna run my first cycle ever with 600 mg Test E weekly and 25mg dbol ed for the first 4 weeks. Trying to eat and drink as much as I can. My biggest concerns are my calorie requirements and the risk of sides. My schedule is to lift every other day and run a couple miles on the off days. Would like to know how to keep as much of the gains as possible too. Any help is very much appreciated. Been tall and lanky all my life and it's now or never to bulk up.

Ok bro's, here's the deal. 14 weeks later and weight is up from 185 to 205. All lifts are up considerably as well. Body shape and size have changed dramatically and get comments all the time about it. Sides were very minimal with the only thing I noticed being a slight increase in blood pressure. I am very pleased with this first cycle and most likely will start another one as soon as pct and recovery time is complete. Thanks to all who took the time to help a beginner. Your help and insight has been greatly appreciated!

If you do everything Revenge said you will have very minimal sides. As for your calorie intake you need to figure your BMR (basal metabolic rate). The formula is below. The number you get is your maintenance, which is what you intake to keep the weight you have. You will be working out so you will have an activity scale that you need to multiply to the maintenance. It sounds like you are going to be around 1.55, or higher. Querry BMR on google for further detail regarding activity scale. After maintenance number is multiplied to activity scale that is the amount of calorie intake to maintain your weight being active. What you want to do is adjust your calorie intake to 1000-1500+ calories over your maintenance, plus activity.

I factored in the stats below and used 1.55 activity scale. Maintenance was 1889.40 calories. Maintenance plus activity was 2928.57 calories. And, if you add 1000-1500+, well, you can do the math...lol!! Therefore, 75% of your adjusted maximum caloric intake should be of natural food, eating about five to seven times perday. Then, supplements can make up the remaining 25%. So, shoot for 280 grams of protein, 300-500 grams of carbohydrates, and 120 grams of good fats every day. From there, you can titrate your carb intake to form your cut that you want. Also, hit the nutrition forum on here. It has some good ideas on how and what to eat. Find out your activity scale and get to pumpin' that iron!

66 + (6.23 x wt in lbs)
+ (12.7 x ht in inches)
- (6.8 x age in yrs)

Thanks fo all that info. I'm becoming more knowledgeable with every post. One question, I was told to boil a bunch of eggs and eat 3 or 4 a day. Will this cause my cholesterol to be high?

Maybe a little, but only if you eat the yolk part. Each egg has 6 grams of protein. So, eat one yolk and all the rest, eat the whites. Save the yolk for a snack, though, for later. Some guys eat seven egg whites with one yolk for breakfast, along with a half a piece of toast and some grapefruit, maybe oatmeal. But, then they eat again about three or four hours later and drink a protein shake with say two 8 oz beef patties, then a steak and salad for lunch. Then three or four hours later, eat four cans of tuna with more eggs and celery and carrot sticks. Then dinner would be 12 oz of chicken or pork with more salad and fruit. Then drink your second protein (81-108 gram) shake a couple hours before you go to bed. It is better to work out and lift on an empty stomach, though. I use strong green tea infused with jasmine, topped with milk, and 2000 mg of Arginine for a pre-workout, too.

Well it appears that the diet part of this cycle will be the toughest part. Never actually tried to consume as many calories as possible before. Thanks again for taking time to help on this. It is greatly appreciated!

No problem. The diet is the most expensive and rewarding aspects of the cycle. I read on here somewhere that during a cycle the diet is about 70% and the AAS is about 30%. And, that is what I see off cycle, too. The diet and caloric intake contribute so much more. The AAS allow you to stay in a positive nitrogen balance, so your muscles just open up and take in everything you give it. Awesome!!

test e @ 600 is sufficient for a first cycle, drop the dbol. nolvadex isn't an ai its a serm used in pct. aromasin or adex is what you want.

test e @ 600 10-12 weeks
ai- either adex or aromasin- starting at the beginning of week 3-4
pct- nolvadex and clomid 2.5 weeks after last injection-
clomid- 100-100-50-50
nolvadex- 40-40-20-20
if your worried about sides take an all in one cycle assist product! wich covers the basics such as blood pressure, prostate, liver, kidneys and cardiovascular! no drugs or alcohol and eating clean and often, don't forget your vitamins!

Was going to go ahead and try the dbol for a kick start but it may not work out. Experiencing some side effects like nervousness, headaches, elevated heart rate and not sleeping very well. May just stick with the test as you suggested. Kinda disappointed because I wanted those quick gains.

Diet and good PCT is your best bet. Do you have an AI? And can you post up some stats?
