Hypothetical Post Cycle Question
ad
Hey guys, question. Say a professional level bodybuilder gets off all gear. He's going to lose 60+ lbs of muscle. My question is where does all of the protein go? Does the body excrete the amino acids or do they re enter the bloodstream as an energy source?

Goes back into the atmosphere and causes global warming.
LOL!
I always knew it was the body building perverts that were causing global warming!
Shhhh.... Let them keep blaming CO2 emissions!
RustyhookerThey eat pizza, Jon. Duuuh!
pizzajonI love me some pizza
Your body uses it for fuel or turns it into fat. The body will catabolize excess muscle it can't hold when hormone levels and nitrogen retention are lowered.
pizzajonSo basically, you're going to get very fat if you went from pro level to natural levels?
I'll tell you what. I know a couple of pros. I will let you know what happens when they retire. LOL

pizzajonI would assume they have all of that planned out better lol
Bro, most pros never really retire. The window of opportunity where you can be viable in the sport closes, but most don't quit training after that, lose a full lifetime of muscle and all that work and just get fat. And, since as you leave the elite competitive level of the sport, you don't have any natural hormone production left it will not be possible "to get off all gear."
pizzajonI completely agree with everything you just said. This was more a hypothetical of where would all of the excess muscle go once the ability to hold it is gone.
The more muscle you have the easier it is to get fat if you don't change diet and keep cardio up when coming off all hormones. Also depends on genetics and metabolism.
pizzajonTrue, that makes sense. It seems like once you lose the ability to hold say 20lbs of muscle, that you're going to get fat fast regardless, unless you slowly tapered down your dose in the appropriate amount. Nothing relevant to me right now, but I was just curious.
