HCG

ad

Hi Guys,

I am not interested in taking ‘’steroids’’ in the moment. However, I really wanted to see what an HCG only cycle would do to my body. I’ve heard some people running it exclusively all year long and having good results with it. So I decided to give it a shot...

On December 2018, I got a blood test to verify my current testosterone level. It came back to 556 ng/dL which could be considered to be in the mi-range.

On January 1st 2019, I started taking 1000 IUs of pharmaceutical grade HCG subcutaneously every other day.
Then, I got tested again in the beginning of March and my testosterone level was now at 974 ng/dL which is considered to be in the upper range . That’s a huge increase for me. I have never been at that level even in my early 20s. Unfortunately, I don’t know my level of free testosterone because for some reason, where I live they won’t test your free testosterone when it’s at 300 ng/dL and above. I assume I have a good level of free testosterone because I feel I have more energy, I am stronger in the gym, and my libido has increased.

My estrogen level is still in check (178.0 pmol/L) but my prolactin level is a little too high right now. It is currently at 18.9 ug/L and the normal range Is between 3.7 to 17.9 ug/L. I will have to keep an eye on that.

I was curious to know what are your thoughts on an HCG cycle only? Do you believe I run the risk of desensitizing to HCG with the amount I’m taking? Do you believe I should cycle it like steroids or just run it all year long ?

I am now 35 years old and was contemplating starting TRT since my testosterone level was too low in my opinion for my age. I am now thinking of just using HCG for as long as it will work... It is much cheaper and much easier to have access to.

2 bottles ugl test = what? €50-70 ish?
8 weeks of HCG@2k = 300+ ish?
also need ai's, also need PCT for the HP.

Cost/benefit says nope.

BUT, I have done it. and it is nice. This said, there are serious issues with estro to address, there are then issues that follow estro such as prolactin. and so on.

AAS are a much linear choice. Better bang for your buck. Better health wise, ironically.

I have HCG for free through my insurance so money is not an issue.

Why do you believe AAS is better health wise than HCG ? Is it because you believe HCG converts more to estrogen than AAS ?

Nice!!! I wish my ins payed for hcg.
I am the worlds biggest advocate for hcg. I love it.

But yes, it is impractical for growth because of the need for an ai and potentially for a DA.

Versus a trt shot of test.

Sides come from peaks and troughs. Hcg soikes estro high and it falls slower than test levels, leading to a dose dependant and schedule dependant increase in estrogens.
LH sensitivity is possibly real, likely via receptor issues with binding proteins. Im using hcg for almost 1.5 years straight now (ten years exp in total + with hcg alone) and can confirm that the body response can change.... leading to needing more or breaks.

So AAS are more stable and reliable, require less ancilliaries when run right etc.

Thanks for the info! I'll definitely have to do regular blood tests to keep my estrogen level in check and adjust my HCG dosage accordingly.

Although AAS might be more stable and reliable like you said, I still feel HCG might have less risk of damaging my HTPA than AAS. Obviously, the potential for gains is much lower with HCG than with AAS, but I'm good with that.

Yes and Yes. So your wanting to do this because your Insurance will pay for it but not Testosterone.
Look Leonidas everyone here is just looking out for you with sound advise. HCG has it's place but as a cycle not really due to your experience. Do you have the knowledge and product/compounds on hand to combat all the sides that can pop up which giardap touched on in his comment? We just don't want you to look like these guys if your answer is no to the question. follow the link below:

For now, I'll only be taking zinc daily as a natural AI. However, I also have some pharmaceutical grade Letrozole in hand in case of emergency.

Although HCG is much less potent than AAS, I am aware that side effects are still a possibility like you said. That's why I'll have some blood tests regularly.

A lot of people are against HCG only cycles. I have used it effectively at 2000 IU's EOD for brief periods of time like 6-8 weeks. Taken with DHEA it enhances the effect. If you do this you may get bloated a bit but it will go away after cycle.

Regardless you need an AI or your E2 levels will explode.

Your being brave getting involved in this debate again John Lol Smile I must admit I have no knowledge on whether its a good or bad thing to do...

Well apparently Leo's mind is set on this. Seems like a waste to me, but I'm limited here also. Go Big T or Go natty homie.. Glad he atleast has John..

Yeah remember last time most of the guys were against this to say the least Smile

Taking it for brief periods of time like you did might be wiser indeed.

I was planning to start taking zinc (30 mg daily) to act like an AI. Obviously it's not as strong as nolvadex or clomid but at the same time maybe I don't need something so powerful when using only HCG.

Either ur trying to mess with some people or u want some higher natty Test. Theres better ways to raise ur natty T. Do some research, then come back and ask about that. 556 isnt bad imo, I know it's no 900. But with a proper diet, workout, and some supplements, u cld tack on another 100-300nd's... save the hcg for the darkside.

Totally agree with you Onewheelup. +1 for your wise observation.
Leonidas at what time did you take T blood test of 556?

Leonidas_I's picture

Both blood tests were done around 11 am.

MegaT883's picture

I asked that question because endogenous (natural) testosterone production has a circadian cycle. Its highest in the morning (8 am which is Labcorp recommended time to test T levels). Levels will drop 35% during the day. I've seen guys who got blood tests at 3pm and complained there test levels were low. Then they take it at 8am and have a 200pg/mL jump. The point I'm making if your want your true numbers test at 8am.

Leonidas_I's picture

Testing testosterone is probably better at 8 am like you said. However, I made sure to have both blood tests (before and after HCG) done at 11 am to have a good idea of the increase of testosterone caused by HCG.

I agree rusty also LOL.
