First cycle help

ad

Evening fellas,

I'm 36 years old, been lifting naturally since 20yo so 16 years of experience.

Now reached a point where I feel that progress has pretty much dried up naturally and obviously being 36 I'm well aware that my natural test is on the decline each year.

Been contemplating gear for a few years now and ready to bite the bullet.

So first cycle will be Test E 250 @ 500mgs a week for 12 weeks followed by PCT.

A few questions, please;

  1. Is Nolva alone sufficient for PCT or should I combine Nolva and Clomid?

  2. I was not going to include HCG either on cycle or as part of my PCT, I am under the impression it isn't necessary, particularly for a first 'mild' cycle?

  3. I know alcohol is not conducive to making gains on cycle as it suppresses test and interrupts muscle protein synthesis... That said, I'm at an age in life where I enjoy a social beer or 2 with friends, is drinking beer a massive no when on cycle, will it cause terrible sides?

  4. A gym bro has told me that at my age, 36... I'll struggle to come back on PCT and should consider staying on and cruising for good, is this bad advice?

Thanks in advance.

You should run a full regimen of PCT including Nolva; Clomid, and HCH; PCT is never easy but you get used to it.

What’s your Bodyfat percentage?

Make sure to have an AI and your full PCT on hand before you start.

  1. No. Read this and pick the one appropriate to your cycle. I’m a fan of the 3rd one down: https://www.eroids.com/forum/steroids-qa/pct-anti-estrogens/simple-pct-l...

  2. You’ll probably be ok without it but if you follow the above PCT I recommended, you should use it and you’ll have a really good chance in coming back quick. You certainly shouldn’t skip the HCG if you’re not gonna use clomid (like the first PCT in the link above)

  3. Just use your head and don’t drink a lot. I have a couple once a week. Rarely, twice. A COUPLE... as in 2-3. If you drink enough to be hung over you’re jeopardizing some protein synthesis, recover via quality sleep (drunk sleep is trash sleep), and motivation to train the next day. It’s obviously best if you refrain but a couple here and there isn’t gonna make or break you, unless you’re trying to cut to under 10% bf.

  4. Very bad advice. No matter what age you are there’s always a chance you don’t recover. But you most likely will recover quickly and it’s stupid to not even try. Make sure to get bloodwork before your cycle so you have something to compare it to after your cycle. So you know if you bounced back fully or not. It’s silly to jump into blast cruise tho after your first mild cycle. Stupid, really. Your friend is lazy and irresponsible. You’ll be fine. Put off the trt for as long as you possibly can.

At minimum Get bloodwork before the cycle, 4-6 weeks into the cycle, and 4 weeks after PCT is over. More is even better.

And if you’re low before the cycle go to the doctor.

Again, what’s that BF%?

Quality response, exactly the sort of input I was after!

My bf% at an educated guess would be late teens 17%-20%...

I'm not a massive drinker but do enjoy a couple on a friday with colleagues after work, I'll obviously keep this in check but won't go T-total.

I thought the advice re. Staying on and cruising sounded like shit advice and surprised me to be honest as my friend is a veteran user and has competed at a national level.

I certainly don't want to cruise and would hope that a relatively 'mild' cycle would result in me bouncing back pretty quickly with proper PCT protocol.

I forgot to mention bloodwork in my initial post, this is something I'll definitely be getting done prior to starting, although here in the UK it's not always that easy to convince your GP to give you repeat bloods for steroid use.

Thanks my man!

There’s a couple UK guys here that get bloods done locally. Look for press1 or growmore, or Dacky. I’m missing a couple guys that can help too, but someone will be able to help. They should be able to point you in a good direction for getting bloods without your GP.

It’s recommended to cut down to 15% at least before you cycle. It can have an effect on how much if any AI you’ll need. I’d try to lean out a little first.

You have a nice base man and obviously training and diet are solid since you’ve been doing it so long natty. You’re primed to have a great first cycle.

Try to lean out a little more, get ur bloodwork done and get that PCT lined up. After that you should be good to go!

Good luck man.

Thanks brother!

Yes that is bad advice. Get checked by your doctor. If you are low then go the trt route with supervision. This late in the game you could possibly shut yourself down causing a myriad of problems. Also do more research on pct. Get the facts about the pct meds and what they are for. In your search you will find the answers you look for.
