Conceptual Cycle Planning (no specific compounds)

ad

Hey all, for my first post on here I would love to gain some insight on planning steroid cycles long term and how to include this with training and diet plans.

First a quick background on myself. Im 22, (23 in a month) 6'2", 235, and ~16%BF. I've been training for 8 years now. 7 of those were mainly for football (I'm done now and focusing on powerlifting), but I've been constantly researching, programming, and tracking food and workouts for 4 years now.

I know I'm also young (seen this on plenty forums so I'm not ignorant) but I made some mistakes in my early years and ran my first cycle as a junior in high school (6 years ago) and have ran 4 cycles since then (not including just SARM cycles) All of my cycle knowlege has come from reading forums, but never getting specific information for myself or what I want to do

My cycles have been: Deca and Dbol (12wk), Test E (12wk), Test P (12wk), and Test P, Tbol, NPP stack (10wk) most recently

So here's my topic of discussion:
The more I hear from coaches and experts from various sources, the more I hear that the future of powerlifting is impressive physiques like Dan Green, Tee Cummins, Kevin Oak, etc and less of putting on size purely for size. Most people's advice is to cut down to 10-12% bodyfat before trying to gain weight, with the idea that nutrient partitioning will be better and you will be more likely to put on a larger percentage of muscle in the weight that you do gain, and this makes sense.

Here's the problem in my head: This last cycle I ran, I put on a little too much fat and am now around 16% and am now 6 weeks off and 2 weeks off PCT. I'm going to follow the time on=time off, but going to cut it a tad short at 12 weeks so I can fit in 2 full cycles in the coming senior school year.

When is the ideal time to cut back down so I can achieve the results that I mentioned above? I feel like this close to PCT would risk losing muscle mass that I worked hard to put on last cycle, so what should I do?

Bulk during this PCT time?
Cut?
Hold maintanence until next cycle?
And if I did that would I choose to cut or bulk during the next cycle?

Sorry I know this is a lot, but I'm always searching for what's optimal and trying to make the most progress i can, even in these times between cycles. Look forward to some good discussions hopefully!

Sounds like the title for your new forum, bro...

Welcome to Eroids...glad you're here...

So your first cycle was deca and dbol only? Can't really comment on your post because you're under 25, just the way things are here. And for good reason in my opinion, not gonna be a dick about it but I hope you understand the rationale behind it.

You never mentioned anything about blood work, which should be a main concern considering your cycle history. Getting that done asap would be my advice, and it seems like your concerns could be addressed more with diet modifications anyways. There is plenty of good info in the nutrition section for that.

You can get a lot of help here to reach your goals, we just can't help with the AAS advice. I wish you the best bro.

Yes, definitely a mistake, but that was what was recommended in Mick Hart's "Layman's Guide to Steroids" and being young in high school these were the drugs that most football players and coaches talked about, so yes.

And I understand the part about being 25 and can respect that. I tried to work around this by having the topic be broad and not recommending actual cycles, but mainly talking about the diet and training around the timing of cycles, but if that is too close to the actual recommendation of gear then I understand.

I appreciate a genuine response though. Any resources you could point me to on how to obtain a blood test at my age and hopefully go through insurance?

Go to labsmd.com, female hormone panel (yes men can use it) costs about $70. You can go to any lab in your area like quest, just make sure your state allows this cuz some don't.

Problem is you're 22 and the rules of this community is no cycle advise to anyone under 25. You're of course very welcome to hang around and learn. There are some great nutrition and training forums and we have quite a few members here that are competitive power lifters and strongmen so they may be able to help with non-ass related strength building discussions.

Appreciate it Dacky, and I understand the part about being 25 and can respect that. I tried to work around this by having the topic be broad and not recommending actual cycles, but mainly talking about the diet and training around the timing of cycles, but if that is too close to the actual recommendation of gear then I understand.

Will look more in the forums for related topics, but haven't found anything so far, which is why I decided to make my first post. Do you think if I reworded the post to get across that it really is more about the timing of bulk/cut diets and training involved rather than the actual steroids that I could get help here or in the other branches of the forum? Or just wait and listen for now?

The only thing you can do for now is hang around and soak it up and research. You will not get any advise here no matter how obscure about aas or cycles or timing etc. If you pursue that route all that is likely to happen is you getting banned. Good luck and welcome to eroids.

Your can go relax somewhere. No one gives a fuck about all your accomplishments. You think there aren't guys here with similar ones? I can assure you there are. An there are guys who in real life are no joke. Want to know something surprising? They don't come off like a total dick head like you do tho. They dont need to beat on their chests about them either.Maybe if you participated and spread all this knowledge you have youd be further along. An as far as advice goes. We have rules for reasons. Not a Yolo mentality get big or die trying. Acting like a total prick was a bit much.

those hiding behind the screen talking like they are 260+ 6-8% BF and know everything.

It's the Internet, some people lie. Some don't though.

currently 270-276 depending and 7-8%. I am a two time strongest teen, multiple strongman open men's champ, and have competed in multiple bodybuilding shows.

You don't see the irony? Like those you're criticising, you're claiming to be something nobody knows if it's real.

True or not, don't turn up here calling people names, it's not necessary is it? The site has a no steroid advice to under 25's policy, that's the rule irrespective of my of your opinion.

So why are you here then if you have so little regard for this forum, the advise given and the members giving it. It sounds like you have the best coaches and are a top competitor already so why the rant? Perhaps you're one of these guys hiding behind a screen that you reference. The fact is that this site is for the novice and intermediate aas user and is not a professional muscle building and steroid forum. You can and should go elsewhere for this. Now I don't disagree that sometimes members can come off rather short and harsh and the comments can be non-productive but there are plenty people here who take real time and effort to help people out with their questions and issues - both in the open forums and on PM. We also all have bad days like normal people and if you have been reading some of the post here lately you may be able to self-actualise that some of us can get a bit fed-up at times. The OP is perfectly capable of answering for himself which is what he did in a courteous and respectful manner which is more than I can say for your post.

Thank you man, I understood this was what you were getting at from your first comment, and I appreciate it as it gets me to stay around and try to learn more in different ways, even if it means being a little more patient

Lmao, ok not exactly what I had in mind but let's talk about it. 235 squatting 495x5 isn't impressive but you're saying that's not big enough? I've been up to 250 so I know how to fuckin eat. Keep in mind I'm not bodybuilding, strength is my main goal, but I want to optimize the process. SO given that if you had any helpful information, it'd be appreciated. But thanks for the welcome!

robxl12321's picture

Its not your size or your strength thats the problem, you're way bigger than me and stronger but if I post a forum asking for cycle advice I'll get it know why? Because I'm almost 27 years old that's why. These dudes on here will jump and pick away at my cycle plan and get it right because I am the proper age. You and your groupie can get upset about it all you want but it's how shit works around here. There's a specific and legitimate reason why we won't give you cycle advice. Hang around on the nutrition forums the supplement forums general talk all you want but on here you'll get nothing...
