Bulk Cycle

ad

Hey, Let me know what you think about this cycle. I am a couple weeks in right now. I am injecting M/W/F (HGH once per day). I'm running this as a bulking cycle. The GW and Metformin are very effective in keeping my body fat down even though I know Metformin is anti-catabolic. My bodyfat is already too high at around 16%. I'm 51yo, 220 pounds, 6' 1' tall. I'm trying to use these compounds to gain as much muscle as possible without blowing up with fat or water retention. My cycle history is first a test cycle. Then a test and Anavar (with some Winstrol during the last 4 weeks). After that I tried most of the different sarms with a TRT test base. I tried them one at a time just to see what works. Depending on how I feel (effectiveness and side effects) I'd probably run this for around 18 weeks. I will most likely only run the Dbol for 8-ish weeks. I might substitute with Anavar or YK-11.

  • Test Cyp. 600mgl/wk
  • NPP 450mg/wk
  • Dbol 40mg/day
  • Proviron 50mg/day
  • UGL HGH 2iu/day
  • GW-501516 20mg/day
  • Metformin 1000 mg/day
  • Anestrozol 2 pills per week 1mg each (more if needed)
  • Caber on hand just in case

I may be a little late to the party but here is my 2 cents on what you are doing. I think you are fighting an uphill battle when trying to do a successful bulk starting out with higher bodyfat. You will just end up with more fat vs muscle when you are finished. Your nutrient partitioning starts to get out of whack when the bodyfat creeps up. This may explain it a little bit more. Drop some fat first before doing a bulk if you really want to get the most muscle gain.

https://www.eroids.com/forum/general/general-talk/scientific-proof-lower...

I get what you are trying to do with the Met and GW. It sounds good on paper but doesn't translate well in the real world. I wouldn't bother with either of those compounds. You are just chasing your tail and not really going to get to where you want thinking you can control your BF% with those compounds on a bulk. You need to be in a calorie surplus when bulking and some fat gain is inevitable and those compounds aren't going to help you like you think they will.

gain as much muscle as possible without blowing up with fat or water retention.

That is what appears to be your goal (pretty much everyone's goal). Here is the best approach for that. Drop your body fat before trying to do a bulk. I already explained why. So for this cycle I would go for more of cut/recomp to drop alot of bodyfat and potentially gain a little bit of muscle. This is going to be mostly diet with the AAS used to maximize muscle retention while in a slight calorie deficit. I think by dropping the bodyfat you will be pretty surprised at how you look especially if you use some compounds to harden up at the end. It is amazing how you can look 15 pounds heavier by dropping 10 pounds of fat. Now is when I would plan for your next cycle to be bulker. Bulking doesn't mean getting fat, it means putting on the maximum amount of muscle while minimizing the fat gain. Use a cyclic bulking approach with your diet to do that. and you will be leaps and bounds ahead of where you are going now the way you have it planned out. If interested we can talk about it more.

Thank you for the response Makwa.
I'm 3 weeks in the cycle I was calling a "bulk". In reality the metformin messes up my appetite which has made it hard to eat the calories I had planned. I have noticed some water retention. It's about 10 pounds. Nothing in my face but generally all over my body. This water retention has seemed to stabilize as in it hasn't gotten worse. I'd say this is more of a recomp. I'm still not in the position to really bulk as I'm too worried about gaining weight.
So based on advice from here and elsewhere I've dropped the metformin and GW. I'm also going to only run the Dbol another week. Hopefully that will help out with the water retention and appetite moving forward. So far I really like the muscle and strength I've gained. I'm hoping that continues with the Test and NPP.
After this I will cut. Mainly the focus for that will be cardio and diet. Any gear I take would be like you say more as a means to partition my nutrients. So maybe test, GW and Anavar.
Thanks again for the comment. I am interested in talking more especially about the cyclic bulking, carb cycling and nutrient partitioning.

Alot of good stuff these guys are telling u.. Not sure what ur true goal is with this bulking cycle, other than not wanting too much fat and water... Im also guessing ur eating a clean healthy surplus diet. U are what u eat. I personally have minimum water retention running my test alot lower with my nor and taking water away pills while on hgh. Get rid of all the other stuff... Props on having caber..

The most critical part of cycle whether your bulking or cutting is diet. So you should post that snd get feedback on that. First. As for the compounds d-Bol is going is one of the worst for water retention.

Now onto to another matter. I am still a newbie to this community’s and to Gear in general, but what little knowledge of do have I have learned from with Rusty or Mol. Some of if directed at me on my posts but the majority of it from comments i read by either of them using the search bar. both have a wealth of knowledge. They have different ways of presenting the information but both get there message across. IMHO what makes this site great is the differences among us snd the ability to respect each other and learn from one another despite those differences. We’re all here to better ourselves physically and I hope mentally and emotionally as wel and the best way to do that is to focus on the positive and beneficial aspects of others comments instead of perhaps getting too caught in up some of the other perceived negative parts.
Just my 2 cents

Big group hug!! No homo..

lxxRICHxxl's picture

Thanks bud. Based on what I’m reading here I will not be running it long.

lxxRICHxxl's picture

Yes I already started but I can stop it if I don't like what it's doing to my body. Based off what I've learned about NPP and Dbol the water retention isn't as bad with a low carb diet. Also, I am hoping to get the joint and strength effects. But if this was a bad choice I will stop. I really like Anavar a lot so maybe I'll get rid of the Dbol. You know how it is. You're reading and hearing about these compounds and their amazing effects and you pull the trigger. Some people love NPP and get great results from it. Honestly I thought the quantity I'm taking was reasonable. Not a full on blast but enough to get great results. Basically you guys are saying otherwise. I'll figure it out.

lxxRICHxxl's picture

Like i said. I’ve gained water but about as much as i usually do with test. My face isn’t bloated but if things get sloppy I’ll stop. Who said anything about bulker cutter? Just because I’m considering this a “bulk” doesn’t mean I want to get more fat. I’m eating more calories but I’m still trying to keep it healthy and reasonable. I know gear isn’t for fat loss.
Pick one route? I pick bulk which is obvious by the test, dbol and npp. The small amount of metformin is to help me not gain as much fat even though I’m eating more overall calories. I’m also hoping it helps with insulin sensitivity since I’m taking the hgh. The GW was cancer causing in rats who they shot up with ridiculous amounts. 20mg of GW isn’t a lot. Plus I’m not taking it year around. Anyways, when experimenting with sarms I found GW really cuts the fat I store and gives me energy without taking any of my gains. Why wouldn’t I use it? Whenever I post you shit on it anyway.
The three main compounds of my cycle are bulking compounds. Yeah I’m also taking two other things in small doses just to help not gain so much fat in my bulk. Per the article you sent I could envision bulking 12 weeks then finishing with a mini-cut. Most likely I’ll run things short on the bulk because I can’t handle getting fatter and hate feeling large and lethargic.

lxxRICHxxl's picture

I read it. Thank you for passing that along.

lxxRICHxxl's picture

Thank you for the advice. Based on past cycles Test at 600 is a good sweet spot for me. Dbol at 40mg/day and NPP at 450mg/wk didn't seem high to me based on what I'm reading and hearing but I'm sure you guys have experience here. This is the first time I've used Dbol and NPP. If I start retaining water I will definitely cut the Dbol and NPP. I might cut it in half anyway based on your comments. So far I am not retaining much more water then I do normally with just the test. Yeah I know being over 50 I need to be careful. I didn't realize these amounts are so high.
Regarding your diet comments I agree it's important. My diet is okay in terms of low carbs. I could definitely add more protein. My journey has taken me from a complete fat ass up to 300 pounds in my 40's to in decent shape and 220 pounds. Side note my weight loss was around 5 years ago before I started gear or regularly lifting again. It was cardio and diet.
Also, I got the blood work done last month and will check it again during the cycle. So far all my levels have been okay with the exception of hematocrit levels being high on my last cycle. They came down after my PCT. Cholesterol and blood pressure haven't ever been a problem for me. I'll keep an eye on that.
Thanks for reading and commenting on my post.

Why you taking all these chemicals?? Way to much....you need to focus on your food selection/timing first.

IF your body fat is a priority just focus on the food/diet!! I am also 51 years old, 230lbs and 6'1".

Consistent cardio...walking on a treadmill, 400mg test, 400 NPP, Nolvadex 20 mg day, HGH is OK but watch your insulin resistance it will change for the worse with extended use. Avoid the Anastrozole if possible, as it screws up lipid profile in many people. Over 50 we have to watch that shit!

Less drugs..more disciplined diet/cardio/resistance training..just my two cents.

Couple things
1. Gw and Metformin aren’t cures for body fat, they just help with insulin sensitivity.
2. Gw has been linked to cancer
3. Metformin was recently recalled for being linked to causing cancer
4. Dbol at 40mg a day is high as shit, your poor liver, blood pressure, and lipids.
5. Why do you need Proviron, your free test will be high as fuck. (Someone correct me if my logic is off)
6. Stop taking things to cut fat, just fix your diet
7. This cycle is water retention heaven
8. Why did you go from basically higher test and an oral, to an all out assault on your organs.
9. You’re 51 years old, not saying an older guy can’t run a cycle but you do realize you’re at a higher risk for all the side effects having drastic results

. If a person's physique will be a base of their experience and character then I wouldn't listen to 90% of the people here. I don't give a shit if rusty had 3 stomachs and looked like an orangutang he offers sound advice 95% of the time. Noone likes him because he calls people out on their bullshit but you can bet your ass he will be humble when he's called out. I don't understand why attacking someone's body makes any difference. The richest guys in the world are out of shape balding fucks.the most accomplished scientists and doctors never lifted a weight in their life. You know better than that.

JL's picture

I thought it was because you’re closer to the ground. Lol

You know Molin, Mack made a good point, it’s really not about what people look like, it what people know. I’ve met some of the top trainers today, Charles Glass, Hany Rambod, Dennis James, Chris Cormier, Chris Aceto, Neil Hill, Milos Sarcev and one thing that I know is that each of these guys are very proven in their knowledge and craft but each had varying degrees in term of their peak physique. Hany is arguably the most accomplished one but truthfully he had arguably the worst physique. I understand your argument with a dentist but my counter to that is this, in sports genetics trump everything. Almost all basketball and football coaches never reached the same level of success their teams have as when they were players. Knowledge and talent don’t have to correlate. I think I have some good body parts but I only give advice on the most basic stuff, mainly because I know I lack a certain level of upper tier knowledge vets have.

Bryarb1312's picture

I’m glad someone said it. Years ago Sam I am challenged him to put up a pic and he wouldn’t do it because he looks horrible, but with all the knowledge he has you’d think he looks like a Greek god! Do you remember the EBC cutter challenge a little while ago? Rusty started it at probably 30% or higher body fat and looking like a bag of milk and finished probably 28% and still looking like a bag of milk!! Theres a reason he deleted those pictures off his profile. Guy can’t even practice what he preaches.

JA27's picture

You're way higher than fifteen percent, more like twenty. Also, OP is 51 and still trying to get huge, epic fails everywhere.

JA27's picture

Bodybuilding isn't about how much you weigh, and you look terrible.

JA27's picture

I never claimed to look good, and I prefer to remain anonymous.

JA27's picture

Edit: I accidentally posted the same reply twice. The guy below has a really good physique at under 200 lbs, he knows what's up!

Zalewski's picture

Not everyone wants to get huge when it comes to taking gear. Shred777 is 6’2 and 190ish, but it’s because he chooses that. Why do you keep attacking peoples bodies? If someone really wanted to look just huge we can blast our faces off until we get there. When someone is a certain body weight it just tells me their simply at one point in their journey. Dude is 5’8 and 185 at 29 years old. If he adds an average of 7 pounds per year, which isn’t crazy, for the next decade, he’d be 255lbs at 39 years old, which is beastly. This shit is a marathon. You talk about being nice to people will help them but then you lash out once someone has a differing opinion and telling them things like gain weight. That’s a dangerous road because we can all force change if we sacrifice health.
