My thoughts about HCG are mixed in terms of keeping you healthy overall. I confirmed with a several blood tests that HCG only stimulates LH but not FSH whilist they don't function without each other for spermatogenesis. LH though will prevent your testicles from shrinking and will produce a little bit of testosterone itself, but without FSH most likely won't keep you fertile. Therefore adding HMG to your regime would solve this. Or using Gonadorelin instead, that stimulates both LH and FSH hormones... Or third option, not bother using anything, keeping your TRT dosage low and hope for the best. Some people doesn't experience complete shutdown on a real TRT. If you do, jumping of gear, kickstart with a HCG & HMG and other PCT ancillaries like Tamoxiphene and Clomiphene will help you.
